This mirrors my thoughts Smug, I don't get this 'Donald moving the goal posts' narrative and reckon it's more likely to be the purchasers in control of when the deal takes place.
GOM has said on a number of occasions that Modrox paid around £27m to buy the club. So by my (often flawed) logic, a £37m sale at the right time would have given him a profit, but the pandemic has now changed all that.
During lockdown, our outgoings remain the same at around £14m per year but our revenue is reduced to almost nil so I reckon the club is losing around £1m per month. If Madrox are covering that loss, the potential expected profit will reduce pro rata. If they are borrowing to cover the shortfall, and intend to sell the debt as part of any deal the asking price will surely be reduce by that amount.
I reckon Donald initially tried to play the market but has been badly bitten and desperate to sell but any prospective purchaser is stringing him along and will strike when the time is right for them.
