Breathe in what way? Doesn’t matter if Bezos took over, we’re still limited with the salary cap, no?
would enable us to fill in the key positions, academy director, get the recruitment team in place, start targeting players and moving on some ready for Jan window as its going to be rapidly here and hopefully bring in a new manager all of these things will have a impact

And not just fill those positions, but fill with the best people we could possibly attract irrespective of any salary cap as they are exempt.

Wasn't going to post but sod it.

I was told earlier there's a 'Microsoft Teams' meeting on Tuesday to finalise what to announce. In all honesty I had to Google 'Microsoft Teams' but it seems to be what you see on Question Time.

The lad who sent me this info isn't a lifelong friend but he's lifelong Sunderland supporter.

FFS, let it be true.
Zoom still a goer?

He has just said over there that it was just his view not an itk.

I know, I just think it's a daft view.

To make a big profit Donald would have to get us up and hope someone buys. If they don't he'd have to either fund a campaign to stay up or risk coming back down. Even if he finds a buyer he's not guaranteed to make this fabled huge profit.

If he clings on and fails to go up he's totally screwed and he knows it.

You genuinely believe that our players 'dont get their shirts dirty'?

I can criticise this team for many things, but attitude isn't one of them. The fact they aren't very good footballers is more of the issue than effort.

Not all of them but the likes of Hume and O’Nien put some to shame.

Wyke plays the part of a centre forward but isn't convincing, Power doesn't lead by example and others like Gooch and Maguire have games when they seem to vanish.

Overall there's often little real edge, excitement and apparent hunger ...

... Rochdale was too typical.

The manager's sleepy Joe persona seems to reflect on the team.

Some managers can lift their players and give them the belief and confidence to do anything Eg. Allardyce.. Parkinson doesn't give me the impression that he could muster anything.

I get the impression the players play despite him, not because of him.

Even the players he's signed don't break their necks for him.

I’d like, in order of preference (and some of these are clearly pie in the sky so massive long shots):

  • Sam Allardyce
  • Eddie Howe
  • Chris Wilder (if sheff Utd sack him - unlikely)
  • Nigel Pearson
  • Sean Dyche (once given Burnley boot)
  • Paul Cook
  • Danny Cowley
  • Gus Poyet
  • Roy Keane
  • Nathan Jones
  • Mick McCarthy

My pie in the sky shout is Ralf Rangnick for any job he'd like. Manager, director of football, both, don't care.

Possibly because this is their only chance to play in the Red and White for nearly all of them. If we go up,99% of the squad would be looking for a new leauge one club to play for. Bit out there but would explain why their arses drop out as soon as we get a sniff of getting in the automatics. IMO Mr Smug.
