“I am limited in what I can say due to NDA but I can confirm that I have made a formal legal offer for @SunderlandAFC I have significant funding from blue chip backers. Sunderland are a giant of English football & their fans deserve a team to reflect that stature #SunderlandAFC”

The man is ****ing mental mate.

Have a read up on ‘his’ company ‘Rich Energy’, and also around their ‘sponsorship’ of the Haas F1 team.

Edited highlights, he bid to buy Racing Point F1 for £100million out of administration, but turned out he had less than a grand of assets!

Then title sponsors Haas in a blaze of glory. Except Haas never get paid. And he pulls the sponsorship due to them ‘performing poorly’.

He lost a legal battle with a tiny British Company for stealing its logo, and then one with Red Bull for effectively making things up about their products.

He is full on insane.

Bloke is insane. There was talk he’d created this Rich Energy branding, fancied being Red Bull the second. But you couldn’t buy it anywhere, he didn’t have a formula for the drink. Was just all smoke and mirrors.

Seriously have a read up on him, it’s bonkers. I’m only aware of him due to the fact I’m a massive F1 fan and the Haas thing was a major scandal.

1000 monkeys on LSD, with 1000 typewriters, couldn't write this shyte <laugh>

In The Simpsons episode "Last Exit to Springfield", Montgomery Burns has his own room with 1000 monkeys at typewriters, one of which he chastises for mistyping a word in the opening sentence of A Tale of Two Cities:

"'It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times?'

You stupid monkey!"

The infinite monkey theorem might see us win the league one day :D

I dunno why Red Bull don’t just by us.

We are prime for them and even play in red and white.

They admitted they looked.

I heard they were close to signing the final docs but then Donald made a last minute stipulation that him and Methven had to play upfront.

Would be a good fit though in all seriousness.

Would be perfect. The facilities are there, the opportunity to grow is there, the chance to make it sustainable. Literally all in place.

Sadly, we know it ain’t happening. The inability to ‘brand’ a club in England ****s it.

You’d rule out a multi national corporation, one of the most successful business on the planet, and one that has huge influence through sport because someone at the tops grandchild had a bit of an incident?

It’s hardly the Saudis mate.

That’s more a reflection of wealth and politics in the Far East than a slur on the business.

Sounds like Storey is just putting this out to gain more publicity for himself.

As for Red Bull, as long as they didn't change the club colours or the name, I'd be more than happy for them to takeover. The things they get involved in always seem well run.
