This Cohen fella only bought the Mets in the last 2 weeks. Whether that's a positive (i.e. he is clearly in asset buying mode) or negative (just how much is he willing to shell out in one go?) will have to be left to others to speculate.

I do like the last few words of the below. Please be him. :D

"Cohen became a minority owner of the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2012, with a 8% stake in the baseball team.[28] On August 27th, 2020, news sources announced that Cohen had entered into exclusive negotiations with Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz to buy a controlling interest in the Mets.[29] On September 14th, 2020, it was announced that an agreement was made to give Cohen majority control of the Mets, pending approval from MLB owners.[30] On October 20th, MLB's ownership committee approved the Mets' sale to Cohen, awaiting final approval. On October 30th, MLB owners officially approved the sale, making Cohen the new majority owner of the Mets and the richest owner in baseball."

Wasn't going to post but sod it.

I was told earlier there's a 'Microsoft Teams' meeting on Tuesday to finalise what to announce. In all honesty I had to Google 'Microsoft Teams' but it seems to be what you see on Question Time.

The lad who sent me this info isn't a lifelong friend but he's lifelong Sunderland supporter.

FFS, let it be true.

Hope for some info
