If it’s true and happens, when was the last time we got someone from the league above? Fair play to CM after all he’s the one calling the shots ffs
No doubt he’d be comfortable in the role but he’s spent 14 years as part of the fabric of Birmingham FC helping stabilise them as a mid table championship club. Should we really be happy with that?
Free agent him mate, I mean someone who’s highly thought of and league above, but I did make me laughAiden O'Brien...never mind

There is no where to suggest we would sell them on. That is not his call. He has done his job correctly if there is lots of interest.
Exactly whatever his role you can't have enough good peopleI’ll be honest. That looks like someone who would be an asset to the club
And could still come goodFree agent him mate, I mean some who’s highly thought of and league above, but I did make me laugh
There seem to be some fans dying for this takeover to go tits up. The rat is def 1 of themThe rodent just been spouting his ****e again.
This. I’m taking the fact that a guy in a long term, decent job at a stable Championship club is willing to drop down a League suggests whoever is calling the shots has impressed him and shown him good ambition. If it’s true and happens, when was the last time we got someone from the league above? Anyway, back to graft.
Haha! He might be. I get your point about igniting imaginations but thats very subjective. Personally, I would see someone like Pearson, for example, as a massive disappointment. So, there will always be someone who doesn't like the choice. I suppose really, the club has to find someone that excites as many people as possible and is technically competent. It concerns me though that there is a big element of our fanbase who would prioritise a 'name'Surely the manager is a starting point for everything on the playing side of the club? Yes there are factors that are outside of his control but if he has the backing of the fans and the players have faith in the way he wants them to play then that should count for something. Yes a big name doesn't guarantee anything but like I said previously, it would galvanise the fans and the club. Look at the response when Parkinson was appointed - no one was that bothered that he was given the job and most (myself included) had other names in mind that they preferred for the job. Yeah, its a fine line to get everything pointing in the right direction but surely if you appoint a manager that ignites both the fans and the players imaginations that can only be a good thing. And as for Zindane, maybe all we have to do is wait for a few weeks and he might be available!

None of them stayed and helped brim to the premiership, all developed then sold on for good money. Is that our new model?
