Full disclosure, I thought [HASHTAG]#MeToo[/HASHTAG] was a good thing and now I’m not so sure.

It was ****ing class to see arseholes who used money and influence to bully, harass and rape other people and see them get justice.

It also got people thinking about what is appropriate, if they are hurting others without knowing it etc. It’s all good if it prevents bullying.

However the internet isn’t real life and has a habit of listening to people who shout the loudest. The balance shifted in a system where people make a range of accusations for a whole range of reasons. Office politics are brutal.

Smug could’ve worded it better but most of us knew what he meant.

It’s no surprise to see a WUM twist it to it’s worst possible meaning then flounce off congratulating themselves.

It was just a totally unrelated example of how easy it is to make claims that can't be disproven, but leaves a sense of suspicion.

Trying to make claims that Methven will be running the club are ridiculous ...

... the terms of the takeover aren't known to, WMS, me or anyone else ...

... it's not even certain Methven has managed to hang onto his shares.

he's been working for a club that has no money. they've had to sell on.

Look at Bellingham - he got him playing regularly for the first team for an entire season at 16. Now, Bellingham is a freak. But if he'd come through the sunderland academy he'd be on loan at Gateshead right now.

There is no where to suggest we would sell them on. That is not his call. He has done his job correctly if there is lots of interest.

That's the problem though isn't it people who claim to be itk need to be 100 percent sure what they post is the truth. At the same time people who take it all in need to be sure the information is the truth

The people on here will share what they have heard from people they trust that may prove to be true or may prove not to be they do not need to fact check as they are not reporters. I do however believe that if you are a part of a podcast or publication or similar then as a poster you should be crystal clear if what your saying is just an opinion or something more credible as disinformation and lies can be as damaging as as scandal and illegal activities. If you do not like to hear the latest gossip or rumour from your club you only have to wait for official news on club website.
