Like I say mate historically correct, hence the court case, but the deal with Puma in particular was legitimate and that alone has covered most of their losses.

They picked their books to bits and couldn’t find any wrongdoing last few years, they’ve reached a point now where companies will pay them big money.

The Eitihad deals early doors were shady as ****.

The FFP fiddle by City years and years ago, just took a while to go to court.

The Puma deal that they signed, which is legitimate, is worth £650million, then there’s prize money and CL money, on top of other endorsements.

When they were done, slipped under the radar that it was crystal clear that they hasn’t kept doing it, there books were clean for last few years.

The City group sold a 13% stake to a chinese compnany back in 2015 for about £300 mil and followed that up with an american private equity firm buying a 10% stake for £388 mil in 2019.

Not that I’m aware of mate, they are spending big in clubs and endorsements last few years and I think City just happened to be the biggest PL club they could get.

They had Arsenal then Adidas blew them away, they signed a few monster deals at same time, Dortmund, Milan and Marseille.

Pure marketing by Puma. They’ve just agreed £23million a year for Neymar just to use him for promotion, they are after a slice of the lifestyle market that Nike and Adidas absolutely dominate and top end clubs and players bring that in.

Long been the case in the US, City way ahead of the curve in the UK.

Barca were losing money when he rocked up there and he turned it round massively, also giving Pep the manager's job. After he left, Barca went into a bit of a decline and are now losing money again. In hindsight it has to be one of the worst decisions made at boardroom level in football, especially when you see how Man City have benefitted from his ideas.

Every club or business for that matter has to have an owner. You'd have to patently imbecilic to claim otherwise. And you are correct about being self funded, and by that I mean making enough money to cover your costs and make a profit. This may surprise you but most businesses operate like that.

I understand the concept of how a business is meant to function, but what you fail to understand is football clubs are not like an ordinary business.

Very very rarely will you find clubs that operate on a profit, especially out of the premier league.

Aye i thought you would renew, I did at first but health issues made me change my mind. Once they said they would keep your seat for when things return to normal I decided to hold off for now. I had a thought that even if a small amount of people were allowed into the stadium they would renege on the promise of a refund, I don`t trust them. Look after yourself and might see you soon.
