If you set up your organisation in the right way, profits in one part of you business can be offset by losses in another. It used to be very common that profitable stock exchange dealing businesses would also own a farm that had losses and one offset the other
Starting to think it aint at the EFL stage like. Surely there would of been media bits starting to appear if it was. Its meant to of been there for over a week. The media would of got of sniff of who it was in that time imo
Is that not only because the owners have found a way to pump their own money into the club to make it look like they're making a profit and therefore aren't bothered by FFP?
Err it depends... under FFP they have to eventually make profits. but much fiddling goes on to inflate their income to offset high expenditure... The UEFA lawyers lost out to Manshitty accountants/lawyers in court... which was a bit like Russian athletes escaping being drug cheats for so long...
The FFP fiddle by City years and years ago, just took a while to go to court. The Puma deal that they signed, which is legitimate, is worth £650million, then there’s prize money and CL money, on top of other endorsements. When they were done, slipped under the radar that it was crystal clear that they hasn’t kept doing it, there books were clean for last few years. Was the 10 year old Etihad deal that was sketchy as ****.
Randomly just remembered this tweet from Dave Jones a few months back. it’s clear something happened 3-4 months ago to trigger this. It would tie in with everything that’s happened since, especially with him getting more control
There is a news story the Chelsea owner Abramovitch owned players not part of Chelsea, some of whom played against Chavski in the Champions league! Now who would have thunk Arab and Russians were dodgy?
He owns a few clubs under shell companies, I think CSKA Moscow are about the biggest. UEFA can’t prove it, so they were allowed in the CL with Chelsea. Can fiddle anything when you’re that rich.
I've worked for the super rich and they have 99.9% immunity from almost everything. It's horrible to see it in action.
