I find the term "yes man" an interesting one. I'm self employed, but when I contract at various companies I have a "boss" who asks me to do things and I do what I'm paid to do. Does that make me a yes man? Is being a yes man a bad thing? Are we all supposed to rail against authority to prove we are our own man?

If we hire a Head Coach who says yes to Speakman and gets us promoted whilst doing so then ****ing brilliant.

I think the term is more aimed at someone you’d see as a ****house who wouldn’t stand up to something they feel is wrong. They’ll just say yes to whatever their boss asks them to do because they’re scared of stepping out of line.

I hadn't given the 'yes man' criticism much thought before but now you mention it, it's complete nonsense isn't it.

We want someone who will get on with their job within the setup not someone inclined to fight the system from within. Mowbray was great but all the complaining he did was tiresome, counterproductive and when we tried to compromise we ended up with Dack.

Been with Kompany since before Burnley. I know a couple of coaches who have seen him work and they say good things. His attitude as a player was agressive and winner. I just have an inkling he may be a coach that will lead from the front and be a front foot man. His stock is reasonably high inside of the game, be an interesting watch...
I've read good things about Bellamy but I think as a manager he could end up like Keane and Di Canio , where he is too hard on the players and they will not be able to live up to his expectations.

Might be able to impress the Speakman with a corporate PowerPoint. Similar to Beale.

I swear, if this absolute whopper who failed at Oldham / Morecambe even gets a sniff of a shot, I think it would push me past the point of no return.

Where is this succession planning, a database of the worlds best.

I dont think it happens but even if he is on the list , the standards have dropped.

Love this mind absolutely fuming and past the point of no return but you don't think it happens hahaha

Be even funnier if he comes and does well :emoticon-0148-yes: <laugh>

It's on mate, he's actually on his way down to sign a contract.

I used to read tea leaves but now just look at me dinner plate when I've had me egg and chips ...

... my sauces tell me a bearded man from the North is crossing the border and bringing back our glory days.
