Cheers for the response. I thought that the majority were against, but that's only based on this forum, so if you're telling me on a matchday it's different, I can only take your word for it.
OLM you say there are 13000 on the petition, if you and your group can prove to the FA that these are all genuine season ticket holders/fans who have been to more than just one game (not certain how you would do that last bit, but how does anyone prove who is a fan if there is to be a vote) and not just people you've met down the pub - which your opposition at the KC boardroom will claim, then that will be a solid foundation to your case against the name change
The majority are against, that's why our owner is refusing to ballot the fans, despite an earlier promise that he would.
Against enough to make a principled stand, like muffin was saying earlier? or are most merely 'given the choice' we'd keep it as it is, but we'll go anyway? As there's a difference.
Ask Portsmouth fans mate.... As for honouring the players wages, it's a Ltd company, he'd have no such personal liability in regard of their contracts.
I don't expect the majority to stop going if the name is changed, just I don't expect AA to walk in 24 hours if it's rejected. The next chairman would switch it back anyway.

Can't say I'm surprised you don't get it. Let me explain - poster after poster present themselves as experts ................ Sorry just lost the will, ask your Mam.
I fear my point flew over your head - namely, none of the posters on here have run the financial affairs of the club in the past, so their financial acumen (or lack of) has nothing to do with the club's financial fortunes (or lack of).
OSC voting slip received in this mornings post. Do you agree to the Clubs request to change its playing name from Hull City AFC to Hull Tigers? Yes ....... No Self addressed freepost envelope included. No ambiguous message, simple question and two choices.
Is that not reason enough to go with it then, if the FA do approve his request? As if he did turn out to be correct & it made the club untold £M's (lol), then everyone's a winner, if he wrong & it achieves f**k all, then as you say it could go back to how it was when he moves on. His whole premise is wrong btw. As we were sponsored by a Chinese company called Keijan a while back & we forged links in China, we even had an X factor style football show over there, in which the winner got a contract. We brought over 2 Chinese players - one of whom - Li Tie - was the Chinese equivalent of Beckham back then. It was estimated that we had over 1BN Chinese watching our games at one point.....did it make us any money? Did it f**k.... As the Far East in the home of the snide, you can create 'fans' but try leveraging any revenue out of them......you might get plenty wearing 'Tigers' shirts, but you won't be getting any of the revenue off them, as they'll be knocked up in some sweatshop...
What's the point you're making here? No one's pretending to be capable of running the country, there are just several people who know what they're on about explaining their view on the situation. If you can't understand it just ask for an explanation.
No, I'd rather we weren't laughed at for our stupid name for a couple of years, if it's all avoidable.
Let's hope that the members respond this time. I'm sure some will complain, it's exactly the same question that the FSF asked.
I don't know about you guys, but I think we should go back to our original name. http://thebeautifulhistory.wordpress.com/clubs/hull-city/
He's changed his tune too, when he was first asked about the name change in August, he said it was 'daft'... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Tige...me-Hull-City/story-19642386-detail/story.html
