It really isn't.

Every matchday our fans sing 'City Til I Die' at 19 minutes and 4 seconds (we were founded in 1904) as a protest. Every game without fail it's the loudest song of the day and joined in with by the most people. At away games it's a sight to behold, there's more people with 'City Til We Die' protest scarves held aloft than without.

This forum has a few people who just like to be contrary, a few who live thousands of miles away and don't really understand, and one or two who are just plain stupid. I've yet to meet a single person in favour of the name change in real life. I've heard a few callers on our local radio with the same old "It's his club, he can do what he wants' argument but not one person in real life. I go to most away games and all home games and I've yet to notice anyone there refusing to join in with the protest songs. The club have now started hiding the clock on the scoreboard at home games around 19 minutes to try and thwart it, but it doesn't work.

I'm sure that some will, but it is what it is. Yes/No and only one vote per member.

Wimbledon becoming MK Dons springs to mind.
Where were the FA when that was decided?
be thankful that we aren't moving 100 miles away

Spend some time reading the history of Wimbledon and MK Dons and you'll realise that it wasn't as simple as that. I'll give you a clue, the FA opposed the move but lost control of the process. A mistake they haven't made this time.

We needed Allam's millions because Bartlett ran up debts of £30 million. Allam has run up debts of close to £100 million and his money is running out. If he or his family want the money back Hull City will cut its spending sell its players and reduce the loan.

Bartlett got City to borrow the money to fund its everyday expenditure, Assem Allam appears to be borrowing the money against Allam Marine's assets. Eventually the line of credit runs out and then the piper requires payment.

The next published accounts of Allam Marine and Allamhouse will make interesting reading.

IF it was all about making money Mr Allam would have started a pay day loans company and charged a hell of a lot more in interest .

I really wish I had bought a stack of lambrettas 25 years ago when you could pick them up sub £200

:)

Sorry, I will try to explain myself. Many poster's on this site portray themselves as being financially astute and are not shy about offering advice, therefore they could have solved Hull City AFC's money problems prior to Mr Allam coming in. Failing that they could offer a change sound economic alternative to a name change (by the way I am not convinced a name change is the answer either, but have no expert or inside knowledge). They will certainly be able to put forward some investment package or other to buy him out and still maintain the level of investment at it's current level.

This level of expertise would be invaluable to the Chancellor.

OK I confess I might have been a little sarcastic!

They're not season ticket holders, it's an open petition, anyone can sign it.

We can only prove that 10,000 people attending City games have taken flyers, 10,000 people attending City games have taken campaign badges, Over 1000 have bought scarves and over 1500 have paid into a membership scheme in the past six weeks.

I know that there are business owners, accountants, solicitors, marketing and IT professionals who all post on here. Assem Allam could learn a thing or two from CTWD, they exploit online media to the full and as a team have produced enviable marketing strategies. In a race to get your message across I doubt if there are many companies who could fair better. I may not agree with everything that is posted on here, but I have to admit that they manage to get their message across clearly and other supporter groups, not only in this club but around the UK could learn from them.
So could an investment plan be put together by supporters, I don't think it would be accepted by Assem Allam, even if it paved the way to multi million pounds worth of investment, he does not consider football supporters to have the business acumen needed and will not listen.

Look at his attempt to convince everyone we are currently called Hull City Tigers; why has he done that? It’s not because he wants that to be our name, nor is it – by his own admission – because he thinks that particular name will help bring in more revenue this season. It is because he wanted to let us proles know nice and early that if we didn’t like the idea of Hull Tigers then we couldn’t do anything about it. A kind of, “if you think you can stop me, watch this… Tada! I’ve just taken the AFC away, and that’s just for starters! (Oh, OK, I haven’t really, because I’m too ****ing ignorant of the rules to work out how, but don’t tell anyone)”. It’s like a kidnapper cutting off someone’s little finger and sending it to their victim’s family in the post. Only, in this case, the kidnapper’s a bit thick and he’s actually cut off and sent a rubber finger from the joke shop by accident.
