It's more of a working relationship to do with the OSC than an intimate and personal one. As I understand it, the Allams like to know what the fans think on various topics and I know they speak to a City fan at Allam Marine and also some people at the OSC to get those views. It's purely a 'So what do the fans think?' kind of thing rather than a business thing. I'm involved with the OSC as well and that's why he mentioned it to me, despite me not being best mates with him.
I assure you the Allams DID have that conversation, and I don't think it was in confidence. As I said it's not a business thing and I think the intention was that he shared it with the rest of us. If anyone's the gossip it's me.
I will continue to support the club as I have done all along, but it doesn't mean I won't question the wisdom of the owners at times. I certainly don't hate them, I think they have very good intentions, but I also feel they probably don't have quite ability they think they do at carrying out those intentions.
What has wanting to know what the fans think got to do with what the Allams are going to do? They could cloak their intentions if they wanted to sound people out.
If they are so desperate to please the fans why do what they did?
If I owned Hull City and knew what was going on inside the club I would not be making my decisions, or at least taking them into account, based on fans views when they don't know much about what's going on behind the scenes.
