Neither did I. I cannot recall one moment when I thought they were going to score. Ingham had probably his easiest game of the season.
Pleased Grant had done his homework on us because Posh looked frightened to death from the first minute to the last.

I think that is v Barnsley & Peterborough yesterday, were very similar, neither side scored & both made mistakes that lead to goals. I’ve just checked the stats for both games & the 2 teams that won had less possession!
I’m not sure what our possession stats generally are, but I don’t think we’ve been really good at it for a long time, I’d say maybe since Steve Bruce was here!

You say that like winning possession is a hallmark of a successful team, which is a fallacy a lot of losing managers use to point to the fact they 'should' have won (see majority of managers in L1 last season). We deliberately play on the counter to play to KLP's strengths. Was it our first McCann season we had the most goals scored on the counter? Think we had 2 or maybe all 3 in that Fulham game scored in that manner.

Successful teams win games & dominate them, Liverpool are one of the best at it, Utd used to be. If we actually have a dream of being a good side, that’s where we need to be.
It’s ok playing on the counter & nicking the game by the odd goal when you’re scrapping at the bottom end, not yesterday, but if we’re looking at going up in the next couple of years, or at least challenging, then that’s something we need to work on!

Leicester won the title without having the bulk of possession in just about any of their games. Again, I think it's a fallacy to equate more possession with success automatically. Because then the inverse is implied to be true and less possession makes a team less successful. We won the league last season with less possession in most games.

United had 70% possession yesterday against Watford and yet drew 0-0!

Need to be able to have the ability to do both which we showed yesterday as we were miles better with the ball then Peterborough. We created overloads everywhere and we can only thank the shape for that. 4-3-3 is the option when we have better players in the ranks but for now 3/5/2 or 3/4/3.

On your point, we’ve only won 1 game this season we’ve had more possession then the opposition and that was opening game.

I’m aware of that, but I’m saying, if we want to be a decent team, attract the fans back, etc, playing 11 behind the ball, getting played off the pitch week in week out & nicking the odd goal win, will make us bang average.
When SB was here, we were dominant in possession & wins, mainly because we had better players back then. It’s appealing to watch, which is what most people want to see. If we get to the PL, then I’d expect us to be like we have been in the past & Watford were yesterday.

I don't think parking the bus (having 11 behind the ball) and nicking the odd goal win is the same as playing counter attacking football but fair enough.

Against Barnsley, they had 11 behind the ball in our painfully slow build up, if we got into their half, we would regularly lose it by the time there was 9 behind the ball, then the front 2 would be free to the counter, which is similar to how we did yesterday.
Anyway, I’d like to see possession, goals & wins on a more regular basis in the future.
    That’s all!

To do that we need to be a booger stronger side but with extra bits of skill( KLP) and pace . Let’s hope!

Thanks for the highlights.... I think Shota has accepted just by his interview yesterday we are better with a 3 at the back.... He said we can play both, but perhaps a discussion was had... who knows... anyway, it was only Peterborough, but with bods back and available next week, lets see how we stack up against WBA. Big bonuses from yesterday were Slater and again Fleming ( the first cross I agree with the commentator he should have put his foot through) whoo from looking on going on loan to some non entity we have a valuable player both for the team and financially.
