This just seems like you're desperate to take a particular view, Not at all, however it's quite ironic that you of all people should say that, as some would say that you appear desperate to take a particular view of the Allam family
I really can't understand why some people are so determined to forget the bad things Allam has done. We all do bad things, it's in our make up I'm afraid, it's what makes us Human, we're fallible
I know some things are going well Let's not understate it PLT, things are going incredibly well! but it can't be hard to accept that some things can be bad while others are good. Nothing is ever perfect PLT, that would be Utopia, however I'm pretty certain that many clubs, and their fans, would give their right testicle to exchange positions with us right now.
I've explained this in another thread, but as the club stated at the time he was sacked for comments made in the media, and in the interview in question he didn't say anything controversial himself, he just didn't deny Burnsy's suggestion that money wasn't available in January. I would question whether that was the sole reason that his employment was terminated, others, such as yourself, wouldn't. I'm guessing it all depends on your agenda, and you've made your agenda against the Allam's perfectly clear over many months.
You say these things change as if it's just okay to treat a club legend like that. I wouldn't question the indisputable fact that Nick is a club legend to many of us, personally I think he was instrumental in getting us back to being a recognised force in the second tier, however things do change in relation to employing someone if that someone is not deemed suitable for the position, it happens all the time.
Other clubs don't do it. That's simply ridiculous, other clubs hire and fire all the time!
What could have changed in 2 months? I've no idea, do you? Obviously something did, as I'm pretty certain the Allam family wouldn't have taken such action for entertainment purposes only.
The results were good, he'd taken us into the playoffs from being 8th when he took over, and since it was the first window he hadn't had chance to sign anyone which might have suggested he wasn't to be trusted to spend money. As I recall NP had built a pretty handy squad, and it appeared to me at the time that Nick just needed to carry on the good work. I know that Lambo has repeatedly posted that the Allam's refused to sanction certain players that he wanted to bring in, I think the insinuation at the time was that Nick had requested midfielders whereas the Allam's wanted strikers through the door. Who knows the truth? Certainly not me, and, as far as I know, not you. It all seemed a bit smoke and mirrors at the time. But if the owners didn't want Nick's recommendations into the club I suppose it was their call at the time, my guess would be that they didn't decline these players on a whim, however we will never probably know the truth due to non disclosure agreements.
It was common knowledge that he took a pay cut at the time, the reason presumably being that managers are generally paid less than players. That was his, and his alone, choice to make, a choice that he decided to take. As I've said I've seen no evidence that suggests he was bullied into it
There's absolutely no doubt he sacrificed a lot to take the job, You could say the same, exactly the same, about any player that is coming up to retirement from playing and decides to make the jump into management. How much longer did you really think he was going to go on playing for? only for Allam to decide 2 months later that he wasn't good enough to be trusted with his money, a and then sack him All owners have that same freedom of choice, I believe a certain manager, and one that was also widely regarded as a legend, at a certain club, famously lasted 44 days, it happens for not denying it. I'm not quite sure what you mean here. Who's not denying what?
Of course I don't know how much Pearson wanted, Good, well that's one ludicrous claim put to bed then one but I think it's fair to say any manager would have liked to spend the several million Bruce spent in his one season here, This is getting boring now, as I've said, to be able to spend it you first have to request it, and you offer no evidence that NP did and it wasn't preference that led NP to go for mainly loans and free transfers like Adebola, Belaid, McKenna, Gulacsi, Basso, etc. Jesus, EVIDENCE please?
It really looks like you're desperately searching for something not to add up. You simply cannot add something up if you don't have all the numbers, and you are never likely to have all of the numbers in relation to the Pearson/Barmby/Allam situation, you're working totally on hearsay and drawing conclusions that fit with your own documented agenda of not liking the Allam's, and, whether others on this board like that family or not, I think THAT fact is pretty clear to see!
It's blatantly obvious that he had no time for Barmby or Pearson I think you'll find that he did, if he didn't it's highly unlikely that he ever would have appointed them as manager! and didn't back them. Hearsay, that fits snugly with your agenda. So yes he backs Bruce, The most accurate words you've posted. but as I said originally, it's 1 out of 3.
