Steve Bruce

The only time I'd be happy to say thank you and good luck to SB would be if he wins us a trophy! Hopefully that chance hasn't passes is by?

Personally I hope that day never comes, I'm maybe a hopeless romantic, and I obviously realise that the game is massively different now due to the astonishing finances involved, however I still harbour hopes that Brucey/City are the new Shankly/Liverpool, or at the very least Clough/Forest.

Sometimes a manager just clicks with a club, I'm pretty certain that Brucey didn't expect the ride that he's had so far when he agreed to take over The Mighty Tigers. On that basis I'd like to think that it's not impossible for him to continue onwards and upwards with his startling transformation of our club, and be here until he hands the reins over to his version of Bob Paisley.

Yeah and shanks won a few things with them so I'd take both! But you can't beat having your name on a cup! It's there forever.

This is what I want.

It must be happening at a club currently and that no-one realises it's happening. Why not at City.

Arguably we are now on to Bruces 3rd team in the time he's been here.

You think AP prevented the Allams spending their own money?

The lack of respect for people like AP among some City fans, while brushing aside everything Allam has done, is so disappointing. When did he stop being a City legend?

When did he start?

You hope City never win a trophy?!?

I personally never rated AP at any stage. He was just a front for others.

He took a football club from the bottom of the football league, to a new stadium and got them into the Championship, other than that, he did nothing.

He had a backer, but that was funding only, all the ideas and work were his, he deserves the respect of every City fan.

Am I weird, or do other people read the header and mentally chant blacknamberarmy each time?

More than covered in previous pages i but Pullis or Moyes would surely be Ashleys top2 picks....I do reckon Brucie would jump at the chance if given an opportunity to manage his fave club(who wouldnt) but thanks to Brucie and of course the Allams showing publicly how much they back their manager..we would prob end up with Pullis or dare say it...Moyes?...so i wouldnt panic if he did go..might even be another step up the ladder to greatness.

Thats the manager and players though. Ask PLT.

None of those answers make any sense and they're almost the same as the previous ones I've since addressed. It's like you're just trying to wind me up, I'll have to leave that there or this'll go on forever.

I find it unbelievable though that you think my stance of being outraged at the simply outrageous things he has done and said over the past year is an 'agenda'. That implies I just hated him all along regardless of what he's done. Why on earth would that be the case? I knew **** all about him before he bought Hull City.

It seems that you are just trying your utmost to find something wrong with the Allams. I have been reading this forum for some time and you have been trying to find something wrong with them for a while, except you are struggling so much now that you sound pathetic.

Grow up!

It really isn't hard to find things wrong with the Allams...

It's just infuriating reading stuff like the post you quoted. How can it be taboo to dislike someone who says the things Allam has said? It's embarrassing how so many people on here will accept whatever he does and says as long as he spends money. At any other club he'd be hated.

I really don't think it's that significant. Most managers have free reign at their clubs. It should be a minimum requirement for a manager, not something to get excited about.

Newcastle aren't well-run but they've just off-loaded one of their best players to us because Pardew fell out with him, so he obviously has a degree of control. The problems there are in the boardroom at Newcastle are similar to here. Bruce being a Newcastle fan and them being a bigger club than us would make more difference to him, I reckon, than anything else.

No, you're wrong on this. Pardew is a glove puppet (with attitude) of Ashley. Ashley has no regard for the supporters and enjoys goading them, through Pardew mostly. Bruce would love to manage Newcastle, but he isn't daft enough to work with Ashley. If Bruce is not given serious consideration for the future England Manager role, then there will be no hope for anyone.

You of all people know that Allam is all the things you just said about Ashley. Bruce is a good guy, if he can work with Allam he can work with anyone. And if the twat Pardew can get along with Ashley, it can't be that hard.

Wouldn't panic? Sorry but I would if either of those two were to follow Brucie through the door, over the years both have proved to be defensively minded, first and formost, and the players that are coming through the door right now, the Likes of Ben Arfa, Ramirez, Diame, Robertson and Hernandez would wither and die under either one of those tacticians.

If you want solidity and mid table security welcome the likes of Pulis and Moyes all you want, but if you want true entertainment pray that we retain the services of Brucey.

I have not said that he did not achieve and I respect him for it, I simply have a different view of how he did it. I do not hold him in awe.

Without AP rescuing us when he did it would be highly unlikely that we'd be in the position that we are now, we have a lot to be in awe of him for.
