Nah mate, sadly the Morpeth branch ceased after Albert and Betty Hudson, then the new Ellington branch started late 90’s. Although there is no Morpeth branch, there is still around 20 or so match day regulars, and more who no longer go live in Morpeth. STID!
When I lived there1988/90
There was quite a few of us travelled to roker park great times

Yeah, there was a big following in Morpeth and there was often supporter events at the Comrades; I was too young to get to any but I remember my dad going. Can you recall many names of the lads?

The early 90’s brought the ‘keeganites’ out and the number of Sunderland supporters seemed to dwindle - I don’t know any that turned to the dark side, but the number of red n white colours around the town dropped. I went through school as a proud red n white, and it was only when they started doing well did I start getting any sort of attention for being a ‘mackem’.

That night in the rain, when we won 2-1 was as sweet as I remember - just old enough to go in the pubs - 1 lad against 100’s of mags, cheering in front of the big screen at the Social Club. It made the years of grief worthwhile!

I used to go to the comrades late 70s early 80s. Glyn Bellerby who had a take away place down by the old bus station was big wig of the supporters branch. That was when I was based in oldgate working for royal mail. Seem to remember the names albert and betty hudson

Yeah, he had the California Suite, and was involved. Albert and Betty lived up Kirkhill, and had a lot to do with the away games and sorting tickets out.

Parkinson saying no more permanent signings before the window but maybe an out of contract player next week. This is after the announcement this morning that Xhemajili is out for the season. Either we really are on the bones of our arse or hopefully it's because Donald's ****ing off so doesn't want to sanction any more spend.
Unfortunately, my guess is on the first case as surely any new buyer in advanced talks would want there to be spend to help with a promotion bid.

Not much mate , got a message a couple of days ago to say SD seemed like he was trying his best to **** things up again.
I cannot understand the man, if it’s same scenario as last year where the goal posts were moved at last minute, he needs outed by whatever method possible. The problem is, this is the biggest job he will ever have, and possibly the biggest amount of money he can make, so he needs to change his approach. He’s not dealing with call centres or changing payment terminal companies to save a few quid, these companies he can play with. Sadly, I think he’s trying the same tactics.

I think the biggest problem with bits of info we are getting is the fact that although I think its from genuine people that have sources at boardroom level, the info the boardroom members are getting themselves will have come from SD or CM and I would trust a word that comes from out their mouths.
I think the only positive is that Magnus has heard from both SAFC side and the buyers side, he has said that both are keen, but if it doesn't go through he said it will be down to SD

Was out for a run last night and got so angry at the thought of Stewart Donald pulling the plug and not selling the club, that I had to stop and compose myself. It totally ruined the time I was aiming for. :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Had to remind myself that it’s not healthy to get wound up by things you can’t influence.

Still hate the bloke though

Yeah, I’ve always been dubious about the info from club side, as I wouldn’t believe a word coming out of either SD or CM’s mouth. I know someone who has spent quite a bit of time with both, and whether it is in front of an audience, or not, they both say what they think people want to hear. If only the buying side would come out and make some noise!

Agreed, totally out of his depth, the chancer

I can see him putting us into administration, losing millions without fans in
I remember him on Talksport when we got thought to the play off final. Think it was on the Jim White show sponsored by his good friends at Wickes. He basically said it's a lottery and that we had pretty much blew the automatic, CM said ah, but theres no better way than going up in the playoffs. Also had a pop at the fans about tickets not being sold out.Not long after that multiple chickens hoy eggs on his face.

Talking of Jim White..its time he held Donald to account!. SD was all too keen to appear on his show when it was all about him. Couldnt get on his show enough, time to call on him again and ask some questions.

Unfortunately this. No incoming bid and DAMAJ at the club long-term
