Any one heard any positive whispers regarding a takeover?..... Apart from it's Friday tomorrow
Yeah, there was a big following in Morpeth and there was often supporter events at the Comrades; I was too young to get to any but I remember my dad going. Can you recall many names of the lads?
The early 90’s brought the ‘keeganites’ out and the number of Sunderland supporters seemed to dwindle - I don’t know any that turned to the dark side, but the number of red n white colours around the town dropped. I went through school as a proud red n white, and it was only when they started doing well did I start getting any sort of attention for being a ‘mackem’.
That night in the rain, when we won 2-1 was as sweet as I remember - just old enough to go in the pubs - 1 lad against 100’s of mags, cheering in front of the big screen at the Social Club. It made the years of grief worthwhile![/QUOTE
Can’t remember them mate
Was only up there 2 years however
I did drink mostly in the wansbeck because I lived on that estate
But ventured downt to the club occasionally
Ohhh and yes there was a few mags about

What a time to be alive chaps
Just watched PP's press conference. He looks sick as a bloody chip.
At least he had the bollox to say he didn't agree with the Prem proposals. Too much power in the hands of the few at the top.
Also he's the only person from the club who is being wheeled out to face questioning.
Couple of weeks ago he said he needed 2-3 players to complete the squad.
Today through gritted teeth he's saying we might get another one out of contract
No wonder he looks pissed off
Problem is, if they do leave, especially to join a European Super League, it will only hasten the death of proper football.
Don't really agree with or like his tacticsYet some will blame PP .
Nah, the results will do for him eventually.Yet some will blame PP .
Stinks of the Ross situation where he was undermined by Donald. Need these chancers out of our clubEven Big Willy has gone to ground.
