I remember him on Talksport when we got thought to the play off final. Think it was on the Jim White show sponsored by his good friends at Wickes. He basically said it's a lottery and that we had pretty much blew the automatic, CM said ah, but theres no better way than going up in the playoffs. Also had a pop at the fans about tickets not being sold out.Not long after that multiple chickens hoy eggs on his face.
Hopes seem to be fading. Rumblings of SD being up to his takeover trick of moving the goalposts was the last thing(but the most expected) we wanted to hear. The only consolation is that SD looks like he will go down with the ship
I have said it for a while now, hit these fukkas where it hurts, don’t buy a stream, don’t buy anything from the club shop and cancel ALL season tickets. to me this is the only way to get rid of these spineless cnuts. do not put a penny in any coffers, take a stance.
Thought process going into overdrive here but bear with is.... Rick Parry - Chair of the EFL, used to be the CEO of Liverpool and unbelievably used to be CEO of the Premier League. Now his endorsement of Project Big Picture has now been kicked into touch with many asking for his resignation, rightly so. He has done **** all since the start of the pandemic for the leagues which he governs and most definitely been in bed with Liverpool & Man U to strike up the original deal and leak it. Moving on our own CEO (who used to sit on the EFL board - most probably's Rick Parry's mate) endorses the deal which will give us little chance of moving on as a club and reaching the potential we all know we have of getting back up the top 10 of the premier league - with the right owners. Now one of Project Big pictures rulings was for the big 6 to have the say so on who can take over clubs (basically if richer billionaires want to buy a club they can block it)......well Rick Parry is currently in charge of the EFL who has partnered to put this deal together and can have the final say so on who takes over current EFL clubs, Sunderland been one. If a Sunderland takeover with rich backing is in front of the EFL or about to be, this bloke could be a big stumbling block. I think the last few days just shows the whole governance of the Premier League as corruption to the highest order with the head of the EFL in bed with them
Whilst i don't have a season ticket (obvious living where i do) i won't be buying a thing from the club til the gimp has gone.
Methven has built himself up in his own mind into something that he isn't. He's just a divisive irrelevance, minor shareholder, who should be nowhere near this club. His 'charm' is quite transparent and only the most gullible of people would still be conned by him.
The recent attempt by the top PL clubs to instigate a land grab has stirred everything up,. The club owes it to the supporters to provide some clarity on where things are at with the takeover. You can't use Nick Barnes to get some messages out and then just stop if it doesn't suit you. The genie is well as truly out of the bottle and we need and deserve more updates on the situation.
This, but as we have noted throughout the last couple of months its a bit of a double edged sword. We want the club to say something / anything to tell us where they are at, looking to sell / about to sell / in talks. The only info we have been fed is from Nick Barnes....now he has stated NDA's in play so nobody can say anything etc. What reeks of unprofessionalism by the club is that they opt (if true) to inform a BBC reporter that they are in talks to sell the club rather than releasing a statement themselves to at least treat us with a degree of worth.
SAFC will lose between 7 million to 10 million this finacial year. The directors have been forced into injecting capital into the club...one Director can't afford to do so at this time. The goal is for SAFC to be sustainable as quickly as possible and to get promoted. The Directors of the club are losing money fast..this was not in the business plan..they do have a figure of what they will sell for..however that is crazy in league 1 and during this period of finacial uncertainty. Donald and Methven have always been about the money that's all they care about...their plan has failed and their sinking.
Mate, I know of 2 very long serving supporters who have packed in. First a guy who has helped run the local branch, and been going since the 50’s, and another who has been going same length of time who quite recently lost his wife so the football was something to look forward to. This cu*t in charge needs chased out of the place ASAP.
Well, sinking will have been their plan all along. Those two incompetent twats have heard there are 20,000 leagues under the sea and they are hoping they can win one of those I hope the ****ers sink without trace and FPP pick us up for £9m
I wonder how fans of other clubs feel about their engagement/communications from their clubs. I guess the levels vary by club, but most fans probably feel it isn't enough. However in our case, we've never heard less from the club, which in the age of social media and the Internet is astonishing. We have to be least engaged with fans I reckon. Given how passionate our fans are that is a disgusting way to treat us.
I think communication only becomes an issue when you feel that there is something being withheld from you. Its all the more irritating seeing as Donald and Methven initially went on about how open they would be.
The owners of SAFC are in over their heads and struggling. I don't believe their bluster, about finding a way through this crisis, for a second. Donald knows that and is aware that he might fluke promotion, at the third attempt, only to find there are no buyers. He doesn't have the money to stay up, let alone progress, so would be in an even worse situation. I've seen some incompetents at this club but I've never seen any owner push so many long term supporters into giving up. People claiming Donald has improved the club with cost cutting, wage reductions, etc are ignoring that fact which is ultimately more important in the long run ... ... that's the real big picture. He's just not very good at running a football club.
