Share issues being discussed this week, seems it's happening but not imminent until stuff like that's sorted out, I've still got time for Donald and methven in particular but they just don't seem to get getting their heads around the fact our academy costs more to run than the first team in league one, this is purely because the team shouldn't be in this division, if investment doesn't go into th academy soon we won't have one.
LP what is this about the shares issue? Is this common knowledge?

When Stew and Methven rocked up I had my doubts but it was easy to get swept up in the joy of leaving Short behind, who by then just wanted rid.

“The pisstaking party ends here” was a strong statement and I believed it. We got shot of Ndong, Kone, Khazri etc quickly.

I didn’t like Methven from the off, despite him being in PR he was quite abrasive and frankly those trousers shouted ****er at the top of their lungs. I did like Stew, I could tell he really wanted to be liked and that meant he’d do his best.

However there was stuff going on that I didn’t see. Neither of them were “football men” where it mattered. They hired the Scottish Chris Coleman for a tough league that kept Leeds and other big clubs down for years.

Jack Ross looked good in front of a camera as did Will Grigg’s chant but neither of them should’ve been hired because they had no substance. In Grigg’s case he didn’t fit in the team at all and JR’s tactics swiftly changed to ****.

Apparently Scottish Championship football doesn’t care much for squad fitness and it turns out our hungry fans weren’t impressed by ten tubby dwarves hiding behind the ball.

Meanwhile Stew set his sights on selling off our younger players, the obvious **** up being Maja. This expanded to our entire youth team which to me was the worst thing they did.

Any parents considering an academy won’t care about our facilities, just that SD cut costs to the bone and set about auctioning off the kids while the youth team lost every game.

Finally Stewart Donald is quite possibly the most awkward negotiator in the history of football.

The Spanish consortium he rocked up with walked away, the incredibly rich American consortium tried incredibly hard but they and every other bidder have hinted SD changed terms at the last minute.

Even now, when it’s obvious he can’t afford to run the club he’s being awkward about it.

All in all they might not be malicious, but the pair of them should be banned from running a club for life.

I don't get how that makes them chancers, they saw an asset that would appreciate in value but have failed to deliver on actually doing that.

Seeing an opportunity doesn't make someone a chancer, William storey is a chancer, promising to invest 50 million into the club without money to do it tells you that. Donald was quite open about his lack of funds initially, it was sartori who would get more involved if we got promoted, they've failed to deliver, it's as simple as that.

Trying to build a foundation on quicksand making the same mistakes Ellis short made.

i think the word 'chancer' depends a lot on personal views...it is fairly obvious that initially they were looking at a man (Short) who was eager to sell at no profit and a club (recent premier club with some premier league players still in the ranks), put 2 and 2 together and saw instant promotion with no real effort required, little extra spending required in championship due to 'high calibre players'...sell at big profit.

some will say shrewd business sense, some will say chancers...i was quite happy at the time for 'new blood' to come into the club in the hope this would turn the recent fortunes around so some could say i had a similar outlook to SD and CM, if they got us back into the premier and made themselves a wee bundle along the way i would not have begrudged them it.

...but now we see the reality of it all, they did talk as if they were hanging around for the long haul and as much as fans are calling for SD to sell i also think he has realised he is beyond his limits and he had no plan B as plan A was obviously going to work, he is now stuck with a 3rd division club that needs investment/propping up and he simply does not have the finances to 'waste' in the hope that plan A starts to work.

i do not hate them, hate is such a strong, negative word...but i feel they came into this semi blinded by the idea of a fairly quick, damn good profit but failed to have a workable business plan to cover all aspects and this, combined with other 'unplanned instances' has got our club in a worse position than when they arrived so no, i have no time at all for them, i do not wish harm on them i just hope they sell up and move on and we never have to hear from them again.

Your last paragraph is absolutely spot on.

I have some sympathy with your argument mate. I’m not a big fan of the whole hate thing. It is however a testament to how badly managed the situation has been and how much they have utterly lost the fan base by their poor decision making.

They came in with a blaze of open contact and supporter involvement ...

... I've never felt so detached from my own club.

That's not my fault.
