That's a great question mate It's going to be masked by the Covid situation but when you listen to the normal pre season crack people have had enough Sadly it's not even negativity just apathy Change can't come soon enough
I would say about 70% of the lads I know don't even think of football anymore they just check now and again to see what's happening but there's no chance they will go back again to many other things today to do than watch that s hite week in week out i'm amazed it's took so long.
Barnes looks to have been played like an old fiddle. Either by Donald or his garrulous sidekick. There is obviously something in the air, there is just too much noise for there not be, including what some pretty good posters on here have shared with us. Donald's word though cannot really be taken in good faith. He has said almost nothing publicly this year, and when he did open up it was contemptible. God alone only knows why anyone, from anywhere would want to buy any football club, especially in the teeth of worldwide economic uncertainty which has no end in sight really, but lets' hope we get break against the wind.
Tough one to gauge that. For now though, if Kungflu was magically wiped out tomorrow, I don't know many who would go. I only know one who renewed, and that includes three who have been going since the seventies. Some of those many who will not be turning up will definitely never return, they will find other, better things to do with their time. If this bloke is not gone soon that number could be really high. And I doubt that fact will bother the ridiculous pretender for one minute of his day.
I don't think they intentionally tried to deceive anyone, Donald in particular was just too scared to say the wrong thing which repeatedly led to him saying whatever he thought would be popular, for example John McLaughlin.
That's a very good point. I've really supported my club for 50 years and lost jobs, girlfriends and a fortune in the process but it's always been worthwhile. But this is 'the perfect storm' at the moment because our ultimate prize would be to get back to an annual struggle to stay in the PL just as it is for most of the clubs there. Seriously, what is the point of even being Everton, a club we've rarely matched in my time. They're making up the numbers and they know it. Only clubs with wealthy foreign owners will ever win anything, they barely have to break sweat to win the cups and swallow up the best young talent like a woodchipper in a windstorm. Players think nothing of waving their enormous earnings in our faces and will kiss any badge they happen to have on their current shirt. Clubs like ours are bought by chancers with no connection with us or love for us. It's all just words, endless words until it goes wrong and the words stop. So ffs someone flthy rich buy us so, like Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea fans, we can all pretend we played our part. Sadly the supporters, these days, are told their money is a pittance that counts for little compared to telly money. They're told their support puts pressure on players who can't cope with it. Not really sure why we're needed any more tbh, the TV companies put up cut outs and backdrops that have more life than some of the crowds these days. The piped in fake crowd noise sounds out of place when it's a match from the Emirates or SJP. Perhaps this crisis has taught us that some things are more important than football ... ... I never thought I'd see the day
Pretty much yeah, I listen back to some of the stuff he said on the podcasts and he often contradicts himself within the space of minutes, I feel sorry for him which I know will piss people off but I feel for him because he wanted to be the man and save the club but his desire for love has in my opinion been his undoing, even though he'd face criticism as we haven't been promoted, if he hadn't promised the world at the beginning he'd be in a better position now. As it is he's boxed himself off at every avenue, even his interview with Barnsey was the action of someone on the defensive instead of talking about possibilities he was obsessed with not being a chancer.
Dark days indeed mate but I think it can change A progressive manger and owner who understand and thrive on the goldfish bowl atmosphere Give us something to be proud of instead of blaming the fans for their own inadequacy Sunderland fans in general don't ask for much to be honest That's the thing I hate most at the moment the owner and his lackies blaming the fans for putting pressure on the players and driving away investors Effectively blaming the fans for having pride and passion for the club 46000 at a game in the third tier for God sake only these fools could turn that into a negative
I'm sure there will be, personally I think if we actually dig into all of theses deliberate cons and deceptions you'll find equally plausible motivations. We have allowed a few prominent fans and ex players to wink and nudge and imply things but they have all refused to put their head above the parapet. You'll find small time thinking and **** decisions that are genuinely baffling at best and stupidly short term at worst but I'd be surprised if you find many cut and dry examples of deception and lies.
