Haway @Magnus we need some good news. Club making no in roads with signings, even a 35 year old flop Graham is debating us or Shrewbury ffs. No refund even though it is now past 10 working days but apparently we are 'financially sound' and no chairman or any direction as the season starts in 3 days.
Yes I do, I don't have to like or dislike them personally to agree or criticise their decisions. They've made and appear to continue to want to make bad decisions, first of all was the decision to buy the club that they had no clue about running with no margin for error if and when they got it wrong. That doesn't mean I hate them personally or think they're pantomime villains who are have stolen 20 million from the club because they haven't.
It also doesn't explain what they have done for you to still have time for them. You don't have to hate them, no one is suggesting that, but I fail to see how you can appreciate or admire them
I don't admire them I just don't hate them or think they have tried to con anyone. Being **** is not the same as being a liar.
I have some sympathy with your argument mate. I’m not a big fan of the whole hate thing. It is however a testament to how badly managed the situation has been and how much they have utterly lost the fan base by their poor decision making.
Agree completely, I want them to sell up and leave just as much as anyone, I just don't buy the idea that they're con men. They've been incredibly short sighted though.
I'd have more time for them if the asking price was nearer £17 million than £37 million. Going over old ground, but it's still relevant.
I agree they’re not out and out con men. What they are is incredibly bad at running a business and have little thought for the mess they make of it in the process.
Are you having a laugh? I wouldnt give either of them the steam off my ****. Pair of ****ing arseholes that have set this club back decades.
Respectfully I disagree with that. I feel that they set out to deceive the fan base from the very beginning. The first podcasts they went to great pains to explain that the parachute payments were not part of any deal and that the only debt to short was Donald’s problem and not the clubs. They have continually told half truths, and have criticised the fan base when pulled up on it. They are nothing but a pair of chancers who thought there was a chance to make a quick buck.
I don't get how that makes them chancers, they saw an asset that would appreciate in value but have failed to deliver on actually doing that. Seeing an opportunity doesn't make someone a chancer, William storey is a chancer, promising to invest 50 million into the club without money to do it tells you that. Donald was quite open about his lack of funds initially, it was sartori who would get more involved if we got promoted, they've failed to deliver, it's as simple as that. Trying to build a foundation on quicksand making the same mistakes Ellis short made.
They were right to an extent, but they have definitely said conflicting things and it's muddied the waters. They have paid most of that money back into the club though which is something people seem to miss a lot. Suggesting to me they had any money that went to Ellis earmarked for the club anyway.
Sorry mate but I have to disagree with you regarding the bit in bold. To build a foundation, you need to actually put the foundations in place by either consolidating the original set up or spending money on building it from scratch - they did neither! I agree that the club couldn't be sustained as it was, with players been paid premier league wages even after the pay cuts but to cut back everything to the bone and place what seems to be mates in relevant positions is not building. The club seems to be floundering under their so called leadership. Personally speaking I don't think they ever thought they would be here for 3 seasons seeing as Mark Campbell was present at the play-off final and it was always going to be a flip and run project for them
