I think he's tired of the same endless conversation. "When do you think it'll happen mate?" "In the next few weeks, hard to say." "Could it be this week?" "It's possible." "Ha, you said it could be this week and now it's Saturday ... you're just guessing."
My own, not being in the know, reading of the situation is that Donald could not afford to fund Sunderland, certainly not after the parachute payments ceased. So I presume their plan was all along to get us promoted then sell for a profit. Now as we have not been promoted they have to sell or the club goes bust, hanging on to a minority shareholding in the hope of a profit in the future. Not sure what FPP etc position is I guess at some point they were intending to buy the club, but that has not come off?
Oh yes, all I asked for was drink haha, got socks and **** loads of cans and a long weekend off so on course for the hangover for sure, it's 5pm somewhere right
Hope so mate, if not today it will happen I'll just move my birthday present to a Christmas one, it'll come I'm sure
Thing I’ve found odd is they haven’t even been mentioned in any of the articles at all. They get a big say in this deal, and even if they were being paid off and leaving I would expect that to be mentioned. It’s like their names are being deliberately kept out of it. Personally, I think if they had doubts about the levels money they would need to invest in the long term in the championship, having someone like KLD to set things in motion and maybe one of them gets their foot in the door with even something like 5%.
Love coming on here now and watching for @Smug in Boots @Magnus @Wheatsheaf and @Prehab26 updates and general knowledge and just basic chat to keep us going. In my dreams there will be a catch-up episode of Sunderland Till I Die covering the covid years and Sunderland football club through to the vaccine. Then in the final scenes it cuts away to a successful vaccine being deployed to the masses and the takeover officially announced. The final scene is the stadium of light packed to the rafters for the first properly attended game since covid 19 is reported as being driven into the ground. The show plays out to Kinna Granis version of wise men say and then I will cry my eyes out
I'm supposed to be spending my time looking for a job - instead i'm on here refreshing the page and hoping todays the day.
Don’t worry about him mate as even if he has a bid accepted he won’t pass the efl test as his company has been made bankrupt, not a cat in hells chance of him taking over
