Don’t worry about him mate as even if he has a bid accepted he won’t pass the efl test as his company has been made bankrupt, not a cat in hells chance of him taking over
I know mate, aslong as he is still talking and no deal signed he is just worrying me as the papers are still believing his ****

**** is what fills the papers up, reporters come from the same ilk as him. I don’t read papers in anyway I get all the news I want to hear from here

He’s just doing it for the association. Someone pointed out that even being loosely associated with a football takeover is a boost for credibility. He might have his eyes on another smaller prize methinks

And that would just be on here, he would he hung, drawn and quartered over the road for that.

The thing is, I'm sometimes told virtually nothing but I'll drop a little question into a text conversation with someone 'at the coal face'.

It might be, "Have FPP decided to go for a refund if the Dreyfus group takes over?"

The reply might simply be, " :emoticon-0127-lipss ".

Now, with my innate optimism I take that as meaning 'Nothings been decided, FPP are still there to my knowledge and that's all I can say'. That affects how I post if someone asks if I think FPP are still involved. The problem is that someone else might take that smiley as something else and they might be right.

Sadly, I can't question people like this, otherwise they'd tire of me and the texts would dry up altogether. I'm not high up on these people's list of contacts so I just have to take what I get although sometimes they'll tell me something great but ask me not to repeat it.
There again that affects my mood when I'm posting.

It's tricky stuff at times, especially when you get daily pms from people saying 'it's off, Storey is leading the race, Dyche has been approached, or whatever'. All from decent lads who've been told by people they respect and who could possibly know stuff. No wonder some people don't post, the abuse you get is ridiculous.

Thankfully there are decent lads, on both boards, who make the place a pleasure, for us all, at times.

A few people saying someone else involved?

Struggling to see how if Donald and Methvin and retaining a stake. Youd imagine the majority shareholder would want at least 51%. How would "KLD", Sartori and another realistically fit into that with the two bad smells retaining upto 20%?

Might be onto something with this like. Heard that Storey and Madbob are setting up a new business together; The Bill and Bob Breakfast Bonanza. Getting McInnes in as chef to serve up speciality blue chips and cheesy pop. Winners.

I can totally see where you are coming from, mate. It's why I and I think most others appreciate what you tell us is what you're able to. Personally I'd take that smiley as "can't say/not allowed to say", but others could read it differently. But piecing together yours, prehabs, Wheatsheafs, Hawayats and magnus' info gives enough to fill in the gaps.

Good point but investors don't have to be shareholders.

In some ways it's easier to be the former if the a contract is in your favour.

Kyril has a twin brother, could it be the both of them and not just him on his own

The lawyer I sometimes converse with sent me a winky face the other week in response to a question about Storey. I was becoming worried he wasn't just insane and could actually be trying to buy the club. Just a bloody winky face,I could've strangled him <laugh>

It later transpired, days later, that Storey's company would be going into liquidation thereby failing the EFL owners & directors test.

I went back to him, when the news broke, and said I could've posted that beforehand.

'Tough' he said.

Hopefully as that would double the potential worth.

Youd think that Donald and Methvin would be cleaned out totally though if there were 2 seriously rich people buying in.

I can kind of see the picture with it being KLD taking a majority share with Sartorti retaining his.

Donald was never going to get £37m. But 22m now with the prospect of making a tidy profit on his remaining minority stake some point down the line just adds up to me.

Me too mate.

I think it's obvious that Sartori and Dreyfus won't be spending too much time on Wearside.

They'll need people they can trust, at the club, and who'll be able to make decisions. But they'll also need some sensible local knowledge which is where someone like Jones, O'Brien, etc could help.

The support is what makes us different to other lower league clubs and that needs to be properly 'managed' ...

... after the PR disaster of Methven we need a real link at the club.
I'd trust Jones....100% A nice lad to talk with and is 100% behind trying to revive the club albeit limited. The other fella , from people I know who have had experience of him I think would disagree. You either do the job right or don't..
