We have the same crap being spouted by the club as what was spouted the last time the echo finally started to ask questions. It is no further forward than 3 months ago, when i was left in no doubt in a conversation with a prominent member of staff that donald will ride it out in the hope we are at the top end of the table and the fans wont give a **** about a takeover.
Same source as @Niall Quinn’s Dad by any chance? Just you said this earlier in the thread which is remarkably similar to NQD's position.
I don’t think for one moment Dave Jones would be happy with the CEO making stuff up about a potential takeover
Of course not. Rodwell won't be at Sunderland forever, has a family and will need future employment. Do people really believe he'd be seen as a blatant liar just to protect Donald. Haway man, people are really losing the plot if they believe shyte like that.
Have you had an update since July ? You may be right but If you haven't you're in no position to make such a definitive statement Its just you're opinion.
Fcuking hell man, there's some greedy fcukers on here like, won't be enough pie to go round. Best get my pinny ready again.
The bit I don’t get is why all of these posters who say it isn’t going to happen are quite vehemently pissing on people’s chips, like they are getting a kick out of it. I know of @Prehab26 and there is absolutely no way he would get any pleasure in winding SAFC fans up, he is one of us just desperate for it to happen and for people to call him a liar is downright disrespectful By all means dispute what is actually happening, but there is no need to denigrate or questions posters intentions. There will be posters out there who are WUMS but mostly they are easy to spot and what I would suggest is that when posters know who these ITKs are, they speak up for them and state that they wouldn’t find up fans, then I would take that as gospel. Of course even if the takeover doesn’t go through, it doesn’t automatically mean that those posters have been lying all along. Get over yourselves
Isn't it just the case that the same people who dismiss a takeover through lack of info do so on the basis of no info at all
Rodwell won’t ever be at a club bigger than Sunderland. If he was going to “back a horse” it would be the club not Donald. He gains nothing from being Donald’s guy. Far more strategic sense for him to cement his place at the club and with the fans to allow for continuity when new ownership comes in, which of course it will eventually, be it this season or the next or beyond. Donald is on the way out either this season or the next. The only way he’d benefit from being Donald’s stooge was if he was to gain from the takeover financially or if he fancied following Donald to his next club in non league.
Very sage. Donald has clung on because he knows it's his last chance to be considered a football man. He'll be soon forgotten.
Absolutely and what gets me all the people they call who post info generally say "I have heard" or "I think" this or that is happening. For some reason the "Its not happening" brigade always seem angry and always without exception post as if what they are saying is absolute fact and if you disagree you must be stupid. End of debate What's the point of them being on a football forum
That’s why I think he publicly backed the ‘project’ recently, he used to work for the efl and doesn’t want to be seen biting the hand that fed him.
I'm in the terrible situation of having an absolute jewel of information that I can't post. I could post it and blow everyone out of the water but would betray the confidence of someone who has trusted me despite only knowing me for a few years and being on a much higher level to me. But I believe in morals and integrity so would rather suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune than betray the confidence of someone who's put their trust in me for no other reason than my character. I can die a happy man because people like him have faith in me. Disclaimer: I've started drinking early, through choice, so today could get messy
exactly. Rodwell has lucked out massively to get where he has. He’s not going to risk that by putting all his balls in Stewart Donald’s court.
