I've been travelling with the Lads for 50, yes 50, years. I've hitched from Mansfield, ran a 45 seater coach for years, been picked up at Trowel services by Frankie's bus and slept overnight at the Victory Club. I'm very well known by the Seaburn Casuals, the Durham lads, the away support and branches from Gateshead to London. If any of them thought I was posting shyte, to string people along, I'd have the snot kicked out of me at the next away game. I wouldn't risk any of that at my age and, in any case, love the Sunderland support as if they were family. Our away support is incredible tbh, a pleasure to be part of it. There are diehard locals and exiles from all over the country, makes me proud to be part of them tbh.
