There is clearly a thirst for information in reference to takeover talks. We all want a takeover to happen. How that happens will likely be semantics in terms of percentages etc.

However, it is going to be important that everyone remains positive and open when discussing these aspects.

I have put what I can, mostly across the road, before I started to post on here. I know that I have spoken to some prominent posters from this board, away, in real life. I would like to think that they have appreciated the info and its been very accurate thus far.

As the thirst increases, its important that no exaggeration is made. The talks are very much active and progressing as per the updated schedule. Exact specifics that some want are simply not attainable, if they were, they would not be getting posted on any forum.

I would envisage another update at the end of the week. Lets hope it follows the same trajectory as previous ones and remains positive!

Quite right mate.

I've posted what I can and haven't even given hints about the couple of things I've been asked not to mention.

Not quite.
There's been talk about a shift around, ie Sartori becoming major stakeholder rather than Donald.

I happen to think Don may well end up with some minor shareholding but I can't see it just being a reshuffle of existing shareholders. Why would existing shareholders need a period of exclusivity, which is what Barnes reported. I might be missing something but that doesn't make sense to me.

"The three little kittens, they lost their mittens,"
BY MOTHER GOOSE
The three little kittens, they lost their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, mother dear, we sadly fear,
That we have lost our mittens."
"What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Meow, meow, meow."
"Then you shall have no pie."

The three little kittens, they found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, mother dear, see here, see here,
For we have found our mittens."
"Put on your mittens, you silly kittens,
And you shall have some pie."
"Purr, purr, purr,
Oh, let us have some pie."

The three little kittens put on their mittens,
And soon ate up the pie,
"Oh, mother dear, we greatly fear,
That we have soiled our mittens."
"What, soiled your mittens, you naughty kittens!"
Then they began to sigh,
"Meow, meow, meow,"
Then they began to sigh.

The three little kittens, they washed their mittens,
And hung them out to dry,
"Oh, mother dear, do you not hear,
That we have washed our mittens?"
"What, washed your mittens, then you're good kittens,
But I smell a rat close by."
"Meow, meow, meow,
We smell a rat close by."
The only thing kitten mittens lost was the plot.

Until earlier today I was certainly not “ITK”. Today I had reason to speak to a director of an EFL club who has an historic link to SAFC.

After the business end of the call ended I told him about me being a Sunderland supporter and asked if he had any knowledge about the proposed takeover...

He took a deep breath and told me he knew nothing - I can therefore officially confirm that I know nothing about the takeover and neither does the guy I spoke to...

I hope that he doesn’t think I’ve broken his confidence

There has definitely been a big effort this time around to keep things away from the public
Like Keith Downie said in his experience deals done away from media speculation and a bigger audience have a better chance of going through

As mentioned yesterday we have to take the updates coming through with a positive outlook. Everyone should appreciate the updates and remain upbeat.
On a scale of 1-10 how confident are you currently feeling that it will go through this time?

A busy week ahead. Lots of rumours flying around. I can say we have never been in a stronger position conclude the deal for Sunderland and are doing everything to ensure our bid is accepted. The fans deserve a conclusion. The biggest bid and investment must be accepted.

Sorry like but Nick Barnes is not sticking his head on the chopping board by repeating again on Saturday that a deal is progressing well and even going one step further by saying its about to be passed to the EFL if new people aint about to takeover.

In my opinion he is getting the info direct from SD aswell.
