There is clearly a thirst for information in reference to takeover talks. We all want a takeover to happen. How that happens will likely be semantics in terms of percentages etc.

However, it is going to be important that everyone remains positive and open when discussing these aspects.

I have put what I can, mostly across the road, before I started to post on here. I know that I have spoken to some prominent posters from this board, away, in real life. I would like to think that they have appreciated the info and its been very accurate thus far.

As the thirst increases, its important that no exaggeration is made. The talks are very much active and progressing as per the updated schedule. Exact specifics that some want are simply not attainable, if they were, they would not be getting posted on any forum.

I would envisage another update at the end of the week. Lets hope it follows the same trajectory as previous ones and remains positive!

There has definitely been a big effort this time around to keep things away from the public
Like Keith Downie said in his experience deals done away from media speculation and a bigger audience have a better chance of going through

Storey's mouth going all the time and the 'nothing happening' rumours have helped keep a lid on things.

I've actually changed my opinion on Storey, at first I had just dismissed him as a bit of a freak, however, I now see him more of a loose cannon type, which is something I actually like. I don't for one minute though, expect that he will be front and centre of the club though.

Sorry like but Nick Barnes is not sticking his head on the chopping board by repeating again on Saturday that a deal is progressing well and even going one step further by saying its about to be passed to the EFL if new people aint about to takeover.

In my opinion he is getting the info direct from SD aswell.

SD is conducting the whole thing. After originally saying it would be done end of Aug/start of season, the new time Frame is end of Oct...

My guess ‘the deal’ goes south, about the same time as the window shuts, official reasons not given (nothing official has been said about the takeover happening now supposedly though so that means nothing)

And the season continues, with SD scrapping through on the bones of his arse praying for promotion

It’s a decent signing if he stays fit but not really any more than that.
IMHO he flatters to deceive a lot of the time but each to their own.

Exactly mate, at the end of the day, to get back where we need to be, it's going to take a canny spend. People can say "well what about Sheffield utd "etc. Fact is, the deeper the pockets, the quicker the return will be. Money talks, simple as that.
