I'm unstickying this 'cos the takeover was completed ages ago, so it doesn't need to be stuck, and it now has similar content to the 'Summer Window' thread

Perhaps a rename of the thread to 'The future of SAFC or Sunderland'?

He’s now at Sheff Wed in the championship. Always thought he was a decent L1 player and that was his level. Maybe he’s improved.

A club statement read: “Sunderland AFC today announces that Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has increased his shareholding in the club. "Mr Louis-Dreyfus has increased his stake to 64 per cent, with Juan Sartori increasing his stake to 36 per cent.

    27th May, 2023

Honest question Bob and I'm not sure of the answer ...

... are you pleased at the way the club has progressed since SD and CM departed.

I know the club tend to play things close to their chest when it comes to news about players or the club itself but I think our current **** sponsors deal is finished at the end of the season as well as our arrangement with the shirt suppliers. I for one am hoping for a more lucrative deal and am expecting increased interest from potential sponsors and advertisers and I also expect to see a much better streamlined operation regarding our on line presence and a much slicker and user friendly website and marketing business.
The appointments we have made regarding scouting and the playing staff have IMO done a great job so far, so now it is time for the rest of the team to kick start the growth off the pitch that we all know Sunderland are capable of.
I think we may have a few exciting years ahead with off field stability and on field progression and I hope it is a period of sustained growth taking the club from strength to strength.
We cant know what the future holds but early signs are encouraging and the fact that the club are looking at possible expansion plans and a way to improve the match day experience suggests that they are planning for a successful long term vision.

Totally, i had 15 mins with him before Boro, he has matured so much since he 1st arrived.
it is all going well, except for SD, he aint got a scooby doo.
    hope your well mate.
I speak to Stewart all the time mainly on our mutual business stuff, even he admits KLD is doing a great job.

Just watching stid 2 and it's obvious SD is way out of his depth. Embarrassing really. Can understand why Sartori distanced himself from SD as his control of Sunderland unravelled.

No it's not, and you know it's not.

Edit. Apologies Bob....I hadn't read further up the thread...the SD you refer to is Steve Davison.

The SD in STID is the chancer...

i do mean Steve Davison, listen Stuart is a proper bloke ive known him a good few years, don't mix him business wise with Charlie.
If Steve D did a proper job instead of brining in outsiders, the club could be perfect.
OH and BTW Stewart admits he should have chased CM after our talk in at the queen vic

I was also wondering how, in only six months, it changed from you saying it was a fact that Sartori wasn't increasing his interest to him increasing his interest significantly.

Things like this take more than six months to arrange.

Stewart Donald is not a proper bloke at all. He is a liar and a chancer and does not deserve an ounce of respect from anyone of a SAFC persuasion.

I'd put money on it although I still think he'll be available to help with certain deals ...

... other powerful people will appear but I'm sure KLD will be here for years yet.
