IMHO, I think his last offer will be a take it or leave it offer, Rangers and Everton have both cooled their interest, it may be he and his agent biggest mistake not accepting it.
And so it should be, its gone on long enough. If he chooses to back up north then that's ****e (for him) imo. He is better than that tin pot league. But if he wants the cash then good luck to him if that's what motivates him. Said it on the other thread, I'm confident the club will have the bases covered on this one.

Stewart deserves to be the highest paid player at the club, I wonder if we are waiting until the other contracts are sorted out first so that his contract has no influence on other players accepting what's on offer to them, then once the other contracts are sorted we will know exactly how much we can offer him under the current FFP restraints.

That’s my hope, but if I am wrong and we can't give him what he wants his value will decrease to zero over the next season, so I reckon it would be prudent to move him on in the summer.
He should have signed his contract pre injury..Its more than sensible now for the club to let him prove his FULL fitness before/if he is offered a new deal. Personally, we have moved on at such a rate of advance in playing style it may be too late for the LND.

I have no idea what the contract was that we offered Stewart nor the offers his agent was able to get from other clubs, I don't think anyone outside the negotiation has, so really all I can think is that his injury and subsequent recovery are the deciding factors now. I completely agree with you that we need to wait and assess his fitness before making an offer and I hope other clubs think the same way.
I hope he makes a complete recovery and signs a new contract with us but I also understand it from Stewarts perspective that at 27 years old this could be his final shot at a big contract to secure his future.

Fully expect him to move on this window now. Teams will be waiting to see if he's fit and he clearly has no intention of signing a new deal. Take what we can get for him and move on

Did KLD’s trust fund already mature or is it still to happen? I was hoping when he first came in, that once he got his hands on the money, he might have slightly loosened the purse strings for the right player.

The solar panel farm. Is anyone expecting this implementation of it if SD is in charge?

Big bid come in for Clarke. (Will get rejected). Figure would have to be in the region of £15/£18 million for consideration.

Expecting a bid from West Ham for Ballard. (One to watch).

Stewart looks like he may go now.
Feels more and more likely we will lose one big player this window, hope I’m wrong

Never nice losing good players. Having said that it is some compliment that we now have a range of players that attract attention and are being coveted by premier league clubs.

Also have to say that I’ve never been so relaxed and trusting in the people running the club that they will make the correct decisions that have to be made.

I agree entirely.

It's amazing having a team where they're all worth more than we paid ...

... it's only recently they were all worth less.

I'm struggling to think of the last player we paid a fee for, then sold for more.
Darren Bent possibly?
We made a lot of money on PVA. I think we might have made a profit on McNair, too.

It’s never happened often, I know that.

Quite an obscure one (I think) - we signed Reece James on a free in 2018, gave him a new contract in 2019, then sold him a couple of days later to Doncaster for £200k
Think we got our money back ((£5m) on McNair and as you say, we made a bucket load on PvA
