no I’m pretty sure it was a Sunderland born person who works for him who was rumoured pre-KLD to be the person KLD ended up being. All speculation
It was actually John Reece who works for SJR this report might help https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...aire-who-could-be-investing-in-sunderland-afc

That's cool. Increasing revenue for the club and also improving the environment, very clever. Sounds like we're more focused on environmental issues than most, something else to be proud of SAFC for.
Depends if we will spend the money on wages to keep Stewart. He has a lot of options as you can imagine...
They won't break the wage structure for him I'm guessing, so he either accepts the max within that structure ir he is gone. I guess he is wanting more and it's the reason he still hasn't renewed!
The last I heard was that the club had sheved talks to see what he was like after injury so that may be the cause of any delay if true
That's one thing and fair enough. It would be something else if he left for an inferior club for a small increase. He's supposed to be very ambitious, we'll see ... ... but if he's not committed to the club get him gone.
Same here mate, but to tell the truth I’ve been offered double once or twice and I’ve turned it down so maybe I’m talking out my arse. On the other hand their earning power is short.
Only time will tell with stewart. I doubt anyone knows what he is thinking, or what his plans are. We can guess but unless you are part of his inner circle not sure anyone can claim what he is like. In my opinion if he gets back to full fitness I would back him to be league top scorer in our team. On that basis I hope he stays with us this season.
IMHO, I think his last offer will be a take it or leave it offer, Rangers and Everton have both cooled their interest, it may be he and his agent biggest mistake not accepting it.
Stewart deserves to be the highest paid player at the club, I wonder if we are waiting until the other contracts are sorted out first so that his contract has no influence on other players accepting what's on offer to them, then once the other contracts are sorted we will know exactly how much we can offer him under the current FFP restraints. That’s my hope, but if I am wrong and we can't give him what he wants his value will decrease to zero over the next season, so I reckon it would be prudent to move him on in the summer.
