Some people just aren't going to be happy, literally nothing would make them happy at all unless it was them getting the information first hand, if the information is largely correct but has a few changes along the way people will see the things you've got wrong, they see what they want to see.

Given a lot of people probably began posting here due to the constant negativity and trolling on RTG it’s probably not surprising this forum is on the positive end of the spectrum.


I think people have a right to be skeptical - the club has been so shambolic for the past 12-18 months we are all truly hoping for a clean slate. This takeover is clearly going to be a massive shake up but it’s not quite a clean slate. At this stage Methven & Donald will still be involved in some capacity, 2 people who have asset stripped the club to within an inch of its life, appointed their mates, appointed Parky, and have lied and abused the fan base continuously. Then there’s Rodwell, an operator who was instrumental in seeing half of the season ticket holders not renew after ballsing up the refund scheme on 3 different occasions. Rodwell was also vocal in advocating for a short term bailout from the premier league Big 6 and effectively selling off our right to ever compete in the Premier League.


These 3 cannot be trusted and until the new structure is sorted, people will ask questions. I don’t buy the “wait until it’s done then complain” argument, by then it could be too late. This isn’t just the fanzines pushing their skepticism, journalists and ex players have all shared their concerns. If you’re going to dismiss all of these that’s up to you but it’s clear why skepticism is about. Before Madrox took over anyone who expressed any skepticism was absolutely piled on, until we know the new structure and appointments there is no reason why people can’t ask questions.


I am certainly skeptical, but incredibly excited. I think all the managerial front runners all have their positive attributes and I could get behind any of them. The sporting director appointment is as exciting as it is crucial and that appointment will be more telling than the manager in my opinion.


It’s ok to be skeptical, being totally dismissive and calling it a sham (which I’ve seen) is clearly going overboard and that’s not constructive.

It's got to the stage on here now whereby if your not uber positive in absolutely every way you need to **** off back to RTG and don't want the club to be successful, apparently. Proper beirn behaviour.
 
Thing is with Poyet it needs to be taken into account where we currently are in the footballing pyramid. We are 8th in the third division like, Poyet is a fantastic coup for a club in our position, He has managed in the top leagues in Europe, has a cracking win percentage in most of them and more importantly he understands and gets the football club and the area.

Its a fantastic appointment for where we are now and a huge signal of intent / ambition from the new owners

I've just no idea what you're saying about Methven.

You have to remember the vast majority, of a supporters, don't read WMS or have any idea what's being claimed.

Can't you just clarify it so we can move on to 'other business' ;)

Sack the place off mate. I did because of the wum idiots and the permanently negative saddos. There’s no way people can be that negative their whole lives or they’d end it all, pure attention seeking argumentative ****ers.

Poyet brings both a change of style, a clear ethos and an absolute disgust at having to be in league one.

he’s not perfect, nobody is. But I don’t think there’s an important box he doesn’t tick.

Don't let it bother you mate. When all this gets finalised,there's more than a few over both boards who'll be wriggling,squirming and backtracking,trying to pick up any little minutiae, in a futile attempt to disguise their foolishness.

Couple that with both Magnus and prehab saying it’s likely to be Poyet yesterday. Which for me was as much confirmation as I’ll need until it’s on the website. All signs are pointing that way. If it doesn’t happen now it will likely be to do with the sporting director situation

Prehab mate I want to believe it’s there only because I win some money!! I’m not a betting man at all so don’t understand what I would win.
I know I’ve put on $100. The odds thing said $1.83. I don’t have a clue what that means. Basically if he is appointed how much will I win?
