Everything can be taken with a pinch of salt, odds on managers being appointed will tumble, if people keep placing bets on them being appointed.
Exactly.

people think the bookies have some kind of mystical knowledge. It’s purely and simply down to amount of money backed on an outcome. More money on an outcome, the odds drop.

I have supported Sunderland since my dad first took me to watch them in the days of Len Shackleton and I have come to terms with how negative a football fan can be.
However there are times like now that it’s good to be positive.
I believe we are at the start of a new dawn that will take us forward .
We are on the way back.

Was it Len who who the most insightful comments on football club directors ?

My take on the Methane debate is that there is no way Mr 6% will be calling the shots. He may be used in the PR area which his skills would be useful in but I don't believe he will have a massive say at all in the overall running of the club.

In the not too distant future I think him and Rodwell will be peddled anyway once a transition period is complete.

Thats not really what’s happened though. You’re demanding I provide you with information that I don’t particularly want to give out. I’ve probably said more than I should anyway.

I'm demanding nothing man, don't big this up from anything other than a few lads chatting.

So, let me just ask you this ...

.... did you all agree on your opening post or do you have permission to speak for yourself?

Just a question btw, definitely not a demand.

The local journos are just completely guessing at this point. Why would they suddenly know the ins and outs of the selection process when they’ve known absolutely nothing up until now?

Local journos know as much as Chris Weatherspoon and WMS, absolutely nothing but continue to guess that they do. Be easier to wait instead of just assuming everything is ****e and like it was before. Give it a chance and then slate it if it doesnt work

Andrew Taylor coach in charge for tomorrow

“They were great in training on Monday morning and ahead of the game, the message from us has been simple – we want them to go out and express themselves, play with freedom and enjoy it.”

That sounds like take the shackles the negative football off and go out and show what you can do now.. you’re free

Another local journo (Scott Wilson) is saying that Donald and Methven are involved in the selection.

With respect how the **** do they know?

honesty they are just guessing. Is this not the knacker who “understood” that Parkinson was to remain in post after the takeover??

they know about the same as us. I’d take the lads on here who are clearly closer to this deal than some journalist making stuff up for clickbait.

Aye but you did say that Methane ( as he shall now be known) had been involved in the day to day running of the club at least 4 days a week for the last 2 and a half years. Is this true or were you just generalising? Not having a pop by the way.

If I say agree too much then according to the opening post then that is bullying!

Which element of the opening post? We’re not a hive mind like. We always have disagreements

He was before he got ousted at that meeting. He hasn’t been on site since but he’s still being influential.

Starting to like our potential new regime.
Reading all these articles and tweets from the likes of Hunter and Nixon
The local press and the tabloids are getting nothing. They are churning out stuff that when you read it is pure speculation.

Also the amount of people now coming out of the woodwork with "I've been told" stuff is amazing

Northern Echo reporting manager should be announced by weekend..lines up with the info I'm getting...

Lots happening behind the scenes..lots of negativity about as well...

For everyone's info...Dreyfus and Satori want and are determined to be successful here...a 6% shareholder will not distract them from achieving success..

You've lost me now tbh, I'm easily confused ...

... what, in a few words, is the point you're trying to make?

I'm not being facetious btw, I've no idea what you're saying.

Bothered enough to sign up and spout negative bollocks though eh?

to be fair to Gareth - I don't agree with what he's saying and the views of WMS in general over recent weeks, but his podcast is discussed on here quite often. He has every right to come on and defend himself / put his view across. He's doing so respectfully unlike many others before him.
