ITK’s saying new manager this week and more senior roles ( dof maybe ) late December/early January. I’d have preferred the DOF to be appointed first and he chooses the manager to suit the style we’ll adopt.

Whatever role CM is given, and however influential it may be, it is there entirely in the gift of those who own the business. If they give it, then it is to be assumed they are happy to go that way. But it will be their club, and they will do whatever they want to do want in the long run. Or the short run come to that if they see fit.
