In English please?
I don't believe that Pardew is going to Crystal Palace.
And the second paragraph was in plain English, I should say.
But basically I am saying that in the previous Next Premiership Sacking/Leaving market on the exchanges I laid Pardew at 1.5 (that 1/2 on) to be the next one to go. I didn't think that Ashley then would sack him and I was right. I then traded out of my position when the price rose so that no matter what happened I would be in profit no matter who the next managerial casualty was.
I then put the winnings from that bet as another lay on Pardew being the manager this morning. So then if Pardew was the next manager I would lose my bet (but nothing overall as I was only risking my profits from the first bet) and if someone else gets the job then I would win as I laid him to be the next Palace manage and not backed him.
That's perhaps it in non-punting parlance. Apologies for that; I tend to speak most of the day in terms of betting and assume prior knowledge from everyone else.

Having said that earlier it does look like that I am going to be wrong on this one and that I am going to come out all square laying Pardew to leave Newcastle. This morning I laid him being the next manager of Palace at 2.4 (just under 6/4) and a few moments ago the market got to 30/100 on. In fact he's now 1/4 on on Betfair.
Those interested in dabbling in a little tax-free trading may find this a good market to play in. Although I expect to come out evens in the end here I am leaving something at evens to be matched just in the hope that the price rises and I can get out with a nice little wedge.
I still have some doubts, though not as many as before, about this as I would have thought that the news of compensation wouldn't be in the press by now. It's not like Ashley to have this sort of stuff reported but to have managers in and out before anyone knows anything about it.
Whatever happens I would like Chis Hughton to end up managing a club within the next few days.
