Well, if it's 'done' then there's still 1/8 on to be had...

Should grab Bournemouth manager, problem is though who wants to work with Ashley's restrictions, no money to spend in Jan Window and players likely to be sold!!

Jesus wept, this is a shocker! As much as I dislike Pardew, he seemed to be doing an average job with what Ashley lets him get away with. Then I look over the last couple of years, the **** we've put up with with his personal conduct and our inept performances and think, **** it, we'll be far better off with someone else. I only hope that person is big enough to stand up to Ashley.

So after all the sack Pardew stuff...Pardew wasn't sacked. He got poached... by another club. Bizarre.

I don't like to be insulting but this is a stupid thing to say. Anyone who "stood up" to Ashley (more than Pardew did, which is to say in public) won't be hired or retained. We will get someone willing to work under Ashley's constraints without Pardew's proven ability to do so. Be afraid, very afraid.

Looking likely that we will either bring in De Boer or Pulis. This has totally came out of nowhere, wonder how long they've been discussing this? Must of been pretty confident of getting a deal if they where willing to sack Warnock and go straight in for a bloke at a much bigger, better paid and secure job.

I'm mixed on the whole replacement thing though, Pulis is boring, but under him your confirmed two things, your team will defend and your team will score from set pieces. Two things we currently lack. I don't know a thing about De Boer, but he has got a good record at Ajax.

Do you honestly think anyone like that will get the job Somb?

Far more likely to be a puppet to match Ashleys ambitions of permanent 10th place.

No mate, and it's a bit of a worry. God knows who we'll end up with. As I said, I dislike pardew, but there's an awful dread in my mind who he'll hire.

Certainly a cause for concern. There`s some poor choices out there.

Can`t see Pulis taking it on. He walked away because the club wouldn`t get him the players he wanted and it`s a well known fact Ashley won`t spend.

Strange move? If pards has the backing of the players could be a bad move.
My money is on Steve Bruce knows how to beat us lol.

De Boer's agent has already come out and said he is going nowhere.
It has to be Steve Bruce.

You can't blame Pardew. He is right to alk away, never going to be accepted despite doing a good job on limited resources. Howe for me. Who would work under this regime is what would worry me!

Got to say, now that it looks like it might happen, I am starting to appreciate the stability we had with Pards in place for so long ... the idea of several managers over the course of a season scares the living daylights out of me<yikes>; who else is going to put up with Ashley's tighfistedness for as long as Pardew did?

If the next manager DOESN'T pick Gouffran, it's a positive move.

Not sure I follow all this tight fisted guff. Like every, single other club we're a selling club. It just so happens we seem to pick the best of the unknown players, thus seem to be selling more than other clubs. But we're incredibly stable and have a very talented, young squad.

Seems to be the next "manager" won't be a manager at all but a head coach. Bear in mind Pulis walked out of Palace because of this, I don't think he'll be coming. We have a continental set up so for me it'll be either Galtier, De Boer AT THE END OF THE SEASON (meaning his agent wasn't lying, as such) or Remi Garde. Someone like that.
