makes me sick "I've bought Jelavic for you but if you don't like Hull Tigers, I'm taking my ball home.."
If the FA ask him to do a vote and he refuses, they'll probably reject the application. If they don't force him to do one, then we'll just have to bank on the written submissions we make this month and at our meeting with them early next month.
It would be interesting to know what is in the clubs constitution, as when the Allams bought the club, they must have known that the FA is the body that the club must comply with. So to snub the FA certainly wouldn't go down well, and to make a statement like he has today, isn't he bring the game into disrepute?
TELL HULL CITY COUNCIL WE’RE HULL CITY AFC Assem Allam said the word City was “common, lousy and irrelevant” when he proposed changing Hull City’s name to Hull Tigers. In order to change our name Dr Allam must have the agreement of the FA and so made a formal application to them on 15 December 2013. The FA have decided to consult all of the club’s stakeholders, which include Hull City Council amongst others. CTWD are in the process of lobbying as many of the stakeholders as possible ahead of a deadline for initial written submissions to the FA of 24 January. But we urgently need your help to convince Hull City Council that we are against the name change. At present we do not know how the Council intend to respond to the FA’s process of consultation. It is possible that they are wary of antagonising Assem Allam further than they have done in the past. Therefore we need to convince them that fans of Hull City AFC are clear that we want Hull City Council to keep Hull City AFC. We would like all our Hull-based members and supporters to email their Hull City Councillor asking them to ensure Hull City Council responds to the FA opposing the name change application. During the year Hull is City of Culture our professional football team should be called Hull City, not Hull Tigers. Contact details of each ward councillor can be found here: https://cmis.hullcc.gov.uk/cmis/YourCouncillors/Councillors.aspx Please do this as soon as you can and send a copy to the Council leader, Steve Brady at [email protected]. Copy us in at [email protected]. Tell Hull City Council we’re Hull City AFC!

Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport Looking for #hcafc fans (pro & anti name change) to get in touch on #Sportstalk from 6. Call 01482 225959 or 01472 340959.
The decision will now rest with the FA Council and i understand that all county FA's are currently voting on the issue and i don't think he'll be able to intimidate them. Therefore it's probably out of our hands already.
The question is how much of Allamhouse's debt would have to be written off for him to sell it within 24 hours. If he's serious about selling up and writes off the whole debt he may well get about £5 million.

Surely Ehab understands this impasse better than his father - isn't it about time he stepped in? Where are your cojones man when you are really needed to calm this situation and apply diplomacy? He is the only one who probably has the ear of his father and therefore the only one who might be in a position to diffuse this mess. As the obvious successor, he should be sharpening his guile and craft at this bizarre time. Apologies if this has already been mentioned in some other thread.
Maybe he has 'stepped in', but I think it is quite obvious from the way AA operates that he does not tolerate anyone who disagrees with his wishes as in Hull Council re The KC and supporters and even the FA re the name change - so maybe he has been taken out of the picture. Or perhaps he dare not say anything, AA probably lives in a world where his wishes are obeyed unquestionably ie at home and in his business. I don't like the proposed name change but will tolerate it (and just not buy merchandise) but I find his intransigence and childishness quite amazing really
