^^^This. Even an idiot eventually realises they need to either stop banging their head or wear a helmet. Yet another reply from another thread that will no doubt start the whole dull cycle again.
Sorry Obi, I can remember a post saying that we have two. I'm not having a go at you, but I am certain of that. OLM was invited to the meeting to represent the Premier Executive Club and then included the forum. But after that he posted that this forum now had two reps on the CTWD and I assumed one of them was you.
Obi and I are both on the CTWD committee and I went to the meeting as the representative of this board.
That's news to me. I don't recall anything saying not606 had two representatives or that I was the other one.
So each member of the CTWD is only responsible to a niche area/forum/group, and not representative of all of the members? Good to know. I suspect a lot of people just worked on the assumption that OLM and Obi were on the CTWD committee, both post frequently on the subject on this forum, and represented their views, as everyone in CTWD is singing from the same hymn sheet. Strange you'd distance yourself from that Obi, but kudos for your honesty.
The members of the CTWD committee are just Hull City fans, some are not aligned to any form or group at all. Obi and I are both members of the CTWD committee, as I would have thought was perfectly clear to anyone with even half a brain.
Don't be silly. The committee is generally representative of all those opposed to the name change. There may well be differences of emphasis as shown by Fez or of tactics. I haven't seen anything from supporters of the campaign that criticises our general direction. I am on the committee but as far as I know not as a representative of not606. I know you may be trying to wind me up, but if you really are having difficulty understanding how the committee came together I'll explain it either tonight or tomorrow.
Those of us with 2 halves of a brain also assumed as regular posters on here, and members of the committee, that both of you would be representing those views to the rest of CTWD. Seems it's just you. Moi? Wind you up?? Noooo! It's just a technicality tbh, people from here assume you represent CTWD on here, as you're their main poster here, and OLM ofc who is meant to represent the actual views of this forum. I'd love to know how the committee came together, especially if you can add in why, and what the aspirations of different members are. (I don't expect you to name names, a general feel would be good).
So, AA tells SSN today that he'll definitely leave if Hull Tigers is declined by the FA. Blackmail. Very classy Assem.
Allam wants the club to drop the 'City' from its name and be known as Hull Tigers - a move that has provoked widespread opposition from the club's fans. However, Allam is unrepentant and says he will pull his investment out of Hull "within 24 hours" if his plans are blocked. "No-one on earth is allowed to question my business decisions - I won't allow it," he told Sky Sports News. "And I'll give you my CV to give you comfort and show you what I have achieved. "I'm here to save the club and manage the club for the benefit of the community - it will never, ever be the other way around - take it from me. "But the community can say "go away" and I will go within 24 hours." When asked what would happen if the FA said he could not change the club's name, Allam said: "The same thing. It's a free country. There are no two ways about it - I have never said something and then gone back on it." A little blackmail now, I suspect he's been told he needs to poll the fans.
Thought that myself when he said that! What happened to no more funds in January if the protests continued?
Everyone at ctwd most have known it would come to this as an Arab he can't back down as it would bring dishonor to his family
The FA blocking it would give him an out, he could just have said he'd done all he could and wasn't allowed.
So it's Hull City and NO Assem Allam Or Hull Tigers and Assem Allam ??? If that's the case then Hull Tigers would by my choice. I didn't realise that was the choice to be honest
