Just got an email from the FSF. Didn't even know I was a member. They want me to fill in a short survey about the name change.

1) Are you a Hull City fan?

2) Do you support the name change.

Having completed the survey it seems I am free to fill it in again...

Also this highlights the problem of surveys. This one in particular is clearly worded by an anti-change person/group. If I say no I am not supportive of it does that mean I am against it? If the question was are you against it, would a no vote mean I am for it? There's no middle ground option.

Good.Time to nail your colours to the mast.Yes or no...it's quite simple really.
Ehab's already given his presentation to the FA and I bet there was no middle ground there.

The lack of middle ground option just opens it up for argument. I'm sure if it was worded 'are you opposed to the change?' then that wouldn't be accepted by those who are anti-change.

Thank you for mentioning Allam. Everyone is praising Bruce, but amidst all the anger at Allam we do have to remember the man is putting a lot of money on the line for this club's success. This doesn't buy him forgiveness for the name change, but it should at least be recognised for what it is, and that's a huge step towards establishing us in the top flight.

He mentions Allam in every post <laugh>

In my opinion there isn't enough anger at Allam considering the things he says and does. Seems he can buy people's happiness, and it's not even his money he buys it with!

Edit: Before anyone moans, I'm going to move these posts to the name change thread. Gizza sec.

Its their survey they can ask what they want. A painful fact of life.

There's too much analysis on things these days.

Q)Do you support the proposal to change the registered playing name of the club from “Hull City” to “Hull Tigers”?

NO

Q)Do you oppose the proposal to change the registered playing name of the club from “Hull City” to “Hull Tigers”?

YES

Or you can give the answers the other way round.

I've had over a year of hearing countless arguments over the question for the scottish independence vote.It went around the houses many times before ending up with an almost identical question to the original.

What's more worrying is that they have your email address, it's hard to believe that it's random.

If there was a middle ground option and you voted that way, that would be useless to them. They'd have to make your mind up for you.

We either have a name change or we don't.

AA said there was no more money, which is why he wanted to change the name.

Seems some crazy oriental soccer tycoon has spunked up the necessaries because we now have the funds to go for Jelavic and Long.

Great news- as I'm sure the Allams run a very tight ship and wouldn't get us into massive debt or with massive liabilities.

I just wish they'd announce the names of the mystery backers who have pumped in another 15 million.

Is is Newington Pharmacy?

Anyway, it's great to know that this Hull Tigers thing has already resulted in an immediate 15 mill cash boost and helped the Allams out.

It's the only possible explanation, the pot was dry, the Dr said so.

I can't wait for his unveiling. Go Team Tigers, grr.

Does every positive have to be dragged through the muck? Can't we just enjoy the extra funds he's providing for the team?

I know it's great isn't it?

The wheel of fortune spins so quickly sometimes.

One minute your team has a common irrelevant name and the cupboard is bare, then a few weeks later Newington Pharmacy come in and rock your world when the magic name change is heralded.

I just hope it's not because he's been at the methadone cupboard.

Good work by the mods for quickly sorting the board :smiley-finger007:

It's a legitimate question to ask considering comments the Dr made, and actions just undertaken. They don't seem to chime.

It belongs as much on the Jelavic thread as this. IMO.

Shame the mods panicked and made the wrong decision.

It's nowt to do with name changes, and everything to do with statements regarding our current finances and our increased indebtedness.

Yet the title of the thread was:

"I admit I was wrong about this Hull Tigers thing"
