And therein lies the problem, because they clearly DON'T believe in anything beyond the short termism and instant gratification of the Premier League. They probably also think the X-Factor is a good way to see new musical talent emerging and alternate between voting Labour and Tory, depending on which party is going to benefit them the most.

They know the price of everything but the value of nothing, have no soul and no spine. I wish they'd **** off and support Liverpool.

The whole Premier League obsession is you and your cohorts. I've never ever mentioned it. Do I enjoy us being in the PL? Of course, why wouldn't I? Would I want us to get relegated? No, no I wouldn't. Been there, done that a fair few times and it sucks.

Your post sums up pretty much why the majority are fed up with you and your groups ****e. Condescending, holier than thou bollocks. You actually think you're a better fan than anyone else. It's pitiful.

Your argument boils down to "no, because *I* don't see any benefits, and you have got to listen to me". You're so full of self importance and a need for attention it's actually embarrassing. Newsflash, the majority of the folks in the KC do not agree with you, don't care and wish you'd STFU.

The simple facts the majority think about it, the Allams saved the club, they've invested a lot, they've completely turned the club around, they know what they're doing and we like what they're providing for us.

It's really funny the whole reaction to last night. It was just fine when it was just you lot being noisy. It was fine to say the silent majority needed to do something, anything, fence sitting is not helping anyone. It was fine to be the big bad boy in the playground but as soon as people stand up to you, out come this type of crap. Oh and the blame. It wasn't me sir, it was them. <laugh>

I wish you'd **** off and support North Ferriby. At least its local. Why anyone would wish people from Hull to support Liverpool is baffling.

...and the FA will still say no to the name change.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Sure, maybe they will, maybe they won't either way the dice are being rolled and will end up however they end up and we'll see where we are then. Careful what you wish for.

I haven't wished for anything, I just thought it worth pointing out who knocked the request back last time was liable to be the same people that knocked it back this because, despite a book load of words, not one solitary justifiable reason has been put forward for the change.

This is the worst thread I have ever read on this or any other messageboard.

Our fans are simply a disgrace, the worst in the whole of football. Everton change the badge slightly and there are protests, boycotts and the club rollover and give the fans what they want. It's the FANS club afterall. And this was just a badge, clubs modify them regularly. Our owner on the other hand - a man who knows nothing about football and to this day thinks we are called Hull City Tigers - tries to change the name, THE one constant in our club's entire history. And what do our fans do in response? They rollover and get arsef**ed cos they want to see Stevie G on our pitch.

What a bunch of absolute c**ts.

pot calling kettle black

Because we don't particularly want fans who believe that booing is anywhere near constructive, especially when it's booing a chant we have sung for years, although in their defence many (not you, granted) won't know that we've sung this prior to August 2013.

The "Premier League" thing we keep bringing up is because there have been many people (again, not you) have said their sole reason for being happy with the name change is that they love the Premier League and if it means changing our name to consolidate our premier league status then they're happy for it.

Yes, they have done some good things in the past (in hindsight) who would have thought Sacking Barmby would have been good (or indeed fair) move? Making a few good decisions doesn't automatically mean every idea of yours is a good one. Is your only reasoning for the name change that they've done well before and to "let them have a go if they think it'll be good enough". IF not, I am generally interested in your views as to why it would be good (if you can't be arsed to type them all out again please feel free to link me to where you've previous stated).

The simple facts the majority think about it, the Allams saved the club, Indeed. So did most of the CTWD people, years ago.
they've invested a lot, Yes, but it's all a loan, and they're doing quite well out of it. How many times does this need to be pummelled into your concrete skull?
they know what they're doing They clearly don't. Yes they've saved the club, but they've created turmoil because they don't understand football and they've allowed their spat with the Council to make this patently bloody obvious.

Why anyone would wish people from Hull to support Liverpool is baffling. Because it's what lots of glory-hunting plastic advocates of modern football do.
.

Rather than just being angry with you, I'll come back to ask a question:

I have zero doubt whatsoever that Allam's end-game is to have a non-geographically linked football team. After changing the name to Hull Tigers the next step in his plan is to remove the word Hull. He also wants us to have our home outside of the city in a nondescript place. Think the Juventus model if you like, not linked to a city in any way and therefore the best supported club in the country by an absolute mile. I think they have 5 times more registered fans than any other Italian club.

So to the question....

If Allam gets his initial name change and stays on as owner, when does it become 'a step too far'? You say you support the team from Hull, will you support his team if he moves them out of the city's boundary? He has already very publicly said he wants to do this so if he wins his initial name change battle he will view it that he has a mandate to move the stadium. I mean, the fans can hardly complain, he's already said he wants to do this. And then what if he drops the name Hull so it simply become Tigers - is that too far for you?

utter rubbish

I think booing is more attention seeking then singing City Till I Die. Given the choice the only noise the so-called silent majority can make is to boo. It reminds me of those matches in the championship when the team were boo'd off the pitch. I suspect many of the people doing the booing then are the same as boo'd yesterday. Everything changes but remains the same.

Hatred is brewing in the Tiger Nation and once it really takes hold it will be difficult to stop. The losers will be the Allams, it will affect ticket sales, and the team on the pitch because the abuse and booing will get worse.

You have wanted this day for a long time and now its here. We'll see if you'll still think it funny in a few months time.

One person has set the fans at odds and thats the owner.

The way I see it is Allam has created the fire but CTWD have stoked it. They may have acted all nice and pretty in the media but considering they have attracted all sorts of big mouthed intolerant individuals (and they refuse to take responsibility for them) who shout abuse not only at our owner but anyone that disagrees with them, I'd say they have to take some responsibility. The moment you create a protest group, you have to expect there to be differences with other groups or individuals.

Actually, booing is pretty much the only thing anyone can do when it's an impulse reaction. There's yet to be an opposition group who can organise a clever song to be sung at opportune time. It has nothing to do with attention seeking , unlike the CTID song.

I like hull city because my dad took me to see them. I now support them.

I also really liked Opel fruits.

Now I like starburst.

You can not compare a packet of sweets to a football club. I would support the namechange if there was any evidence that it would work and the old name wasn't but I have seen the evidence that the old one is working so why the hell change it.

Hull Tigers! (Clap Clap Clap) Hull Tigers! (Clap Clap Clap).

No, you're right. Booing is better......... :emoticon-0112-wonde

Its not an impulse reaction though is it? City Till We Die has been sung at nearly every single match, home and away since the creation of CTWD. After nearly a year the only reaction is to boo. Its not like they haven't had time to think of an alternative.

The real problem opponents of CTWD have is that they may not like us but they'll never agree on a song to sing because they have no common identity. Some want to remain Hull City but respect Assem Allam and hate us, some would agree to a name change because they respect Assem Allam but want, deep down to remain Hull City and a small minority want to be called Hull Tigers because its a great name.

I know I started this whole debate. I wasn't really looking for an argument I was just saying how I felt last night. The truth is I want us to remain hull city AFC but if.... If it came to it that the name did change. I'd still support the club. I don't agree with the name change but I do love my local team.

CTWD have been inactive since April, yet you hold them responsible for every anti-name change and anti-Allam poster on a message board?

We can control our own output, but to suggest we should be taking responsibility for every post by random individuals on football message boards is utterly ridiculous.

Don't worry OLM, when you post it a couple more times, it might actually sink in a little. Just a little though...
