I do not believe that protests are the route forward.
In order to stop this mis guided name change, real evidence has to be put forward in a rational manner.

Engaging with Assem Allam is the only way of halting this. He set the challenge. Stop acting like football fans and start acting like businessmen. Show that this is folly and it will end, just simply protesting will get you nowhere.

Marching and banner waving is futile. Raise the cash and buy a shareholding, or better still the KC. Has anyone the balls to invest in the club? Until we get some we don't stand a chance.

We will never compete for the league title, we may win the odd cup now and again, but if we want to attract overseas fans to our club - success in the trophy room is not going to happen. We have to attract overseas fans which may gravitate to Stoke, Norwich, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace.

Erm sorry can't see this happening, overseas are NOT going to gravitate to these clubs, why would they?

I know I will be getting more annoying than a certain other poster on here has been in the past with his man love for a certain player, but when the name change topic first game up I stated (as Papa has done in his interview) that other clubs will change their names. We are now competing on the level where it is not just the UK interested in games in our division but the world - and big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United (formerly Newton Heath) are recognised for their success, which is what the anti-name changers say is the only way to increase our support by - by winning things, (Sorry if the grammar on that is wrong) so on that basis are we going to have anyone claiming that Wigan (also a location known for Rugby League) has had an increase in fans due to the FA Cup win (a trophy outweighs relegation in my opinion).

As a anti-name changer, as you broadbrush them, I think you miss the point; my point at least. I support Hull City AFC, not the ground they play in, the wallet that owns them, foreign fans who do not have something in their own backyard to support (are they plastics?) or a club chairman who openly abuses the club's name, it's heritage and those who dare to have a varying opinion.

I don't give two hoots about other clubs, who they are, were or wish to be; I support Hull City AFC, regardless of the league they find themselves in. Hull Tigers (or Hull City Tigers, to be honest) has no relevance to the team I support; if they change the name then who are they and what is a name supposed to be about.

You have your view, as do others and I just cannot accept that rolling with it is either smart or something to preach about. Only one poster, Craig (and at least one more)<doh>, has said he supports and likes the change, the rest are don't cares and they are ****ers if they claim to be supporters. They won't like me saying that, but guess what, I don't ****ing care, they are beyond contempt.

Omg Fez, altering the facts to suit yourself eh? I have publically stated on this thread that I support and welcome the change. So your figures are wrong, there's 100% more support for the change than you're claiming.

Twice as much.

Fact.

My apologies for that, as it takes you out of the ****er class, but puts you quite firmly into the seriously mis-guided.

I have seen the reasons why the name change is necessary and they are total bullshit.

Mid-guided?

I'll take that!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and all opinions are equally valid.

But anyone who thinks changing our name will increase our appeal anywhere, is a ****ing ******.

Just saying like.

Anyone who doesnt think Mr Allam hasnt looked into the viability of the name change before doing it is a ****ing mong cum guzzling **** bucket and should **** the **** off the ****ing ****ers and lets face it the biggest moaning ****s dont even live in Hull.

As the vast majority of fans are pro-Allam, but anti-name change, there is no war between City fans.

In fact, is there anyone who is pro-Hull Tigers?

I'm very much anti-Allam. I can't stand by anyone who manipulates, insults and abuses his own club's supporters like he does. I don't know how anyone can say otherwise. First he ****ed us around with his absurd 'moving to Melton' idea, because he was having a paddy about the Council not selling him the KC, and now he's CHANGING OUR F*CKING NAME because he and HE ALONE dislikes it.

I strongly believe he won't have. He might be a business man but he's also far too confident in himself, maybe even arrogant and I really don't think he cares what everyone else says. If everyone he asks tells him it's a bad idea he'll still think it's a good one. He does/says lots of things on a whim and people seem to credit him with being far more rational than he really is.

I've only met him briefly and never spoken to him personally, but all of the above is based on first person accounts of people I know who have sat down and talked football with him on various football-related subjects and discussed the meeting afterwards.

Daft ****.

If Assem Allam had researched the viability the full name change would have happened. It's all about spin.

If Assem Allam had researched the viability of a stadium in Melton, he would of kept his mouth shut.

It's all about ego, hot-air, bluster and fxxkwittery, just my opinion.

You seriously think he has?

Even his MD and son think it's a ****ing ridiculous idea.

This is absolutely a one man, I'll-advised bag of bollocks.
