I read this analogy on here, can't remember who posted it. But it somes it up for me.

Paraphrasing it- 'Just because you saved someone from drowning doesn't mean you have the right to kick the **** out of them'

I'm hugely greatful to the Alams for saving the club, but it still doesn't give the right to do what they want.

Another thing is Allams haven't put a penny into the club, its a loan there charging interest on.

Brilliant!

I'm sure id that is sarcastic or genuine haha. Its hard to tell on the internet. :)

I gather you were there then, I clearly wasn't so I can't claim it was done on that day.

David Conn was obviously there...

@david_conn Could I clarify when the quotes were taken, David?

David Conn ‏@david_conn 20h
@HullCityLive Spoke to him yesterday Rick.

Same old ****e.

We know you don't give a **** about the name, or about being bubbled, or anything else that I can remember.

Leave this to those who do care(and that's not the minority, not by a long chalk).

Says you. You're funny, and pathetic.

Bubbling? I was there. I protested. You went for a meal in Manchester. Yeah, thanks for your help on that, oh wait, you fired some emails off before hand. Brilliant.

Lets see how many protest tomorrow shall we? I hope for your sake its more than last time, although you'll still insist its the majority regardless of any facts.

Whatever.

Did I say David Conn was not there? NO I DID NOT, so what is your point exactly? Oh wait same old as usual eh?

"I gather you were there then, I clearly wasn't so I can't claim it was done on that day."

The bloke who did it says it was on that day, so I think it's safe to assume it was.

Happy to clarify.

I know I will be getting more annoying than a certain other poster on here has been in the past with his man love for a certain player, but when the name change topic first game up I stated (as Papa has done in his interview) that other clubs will change their names. We are now competing on the level where it is not just the UK interested in games in our division but the world - and big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United (formerly Newton Heath) are recognised for their success, which is what the anti-name changers say is the only way to increase our support by - by winning things, (Sorry if the grammar on that is wrong) so on that basis are we going to have anyone claiming that Wigan (also a location known for Rugby League) has had an increase in fans due to the FA Cup win (a trophy outweighs relegation in my opinion).

We will never compete for the league title, we may win the odd cup now and again, but if we want to attract overseas fans to our club - success in the trophy room is not going to happen. We have to attract overseas fans which may gravitate to Stoke, Norwich, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace.

So this protest is now dependant on every time Allam gives an interview to a hack?

What has changed? This is exactly what he said on the Look North interview. He has never retracted that statement.

And what exactly is he "pushing on" with.

There is still nothing official logged with the FA or Premier League.

There is plenty of time for Mr Allam to get his ducks in a row in time for next year in regard to this. Much will depend upon our position in the table. If we are nailed on to stay up then he will push on. Those who think that the premier league will come to our rescue and put a stop to this are deluded.

Imagine a scenario where the club name was changed to Hull Tigers closely followed by relegation. A recipe for disaster without a doubt.

The name change will only happen if there is a realistic chance of the mighty tigers establishing themselves in the top flight.

It was the premier league that said it must be proven that fans have been consulted tho or was I dreaming that bit?

You were not dreaming or imagining that. That said, I doubt it would be difficult for the club to show representations that support their position. We have 19,000 season ticket holders but the world is a big place.
The premier league will go with what they consider best for the premier league.

They would only deny the request if they thought it could be somehow damaging to the premier league brand.
