Yes, he played well today. He is quick but he is very small he makes Da Silva look a giant.

 

It finished Charlton 4 QPR 5 at a yellow/ Orange Valley. Charlton scored 3 goals in the first half through Anderson 2 and Hackett- Fairchild. The second half was only a minute old when QPR scored, then straight after that they scored from the spot to make it 3-2. Almost immediately they equalised. We then went 4-3 up with a goal from Mascoll. But QPR came back with two goals. It was like a game of basketball.
Barnes had one of the worst games I have seen from a full back. Lewis Page played 60 minutes and was excellent.
Anderson, Mascoll and Hackett- Fairchild were excellent. But our defending was atrocious. Lapslie was put at right full back and was poor. As was Dijksteel in the second half after a good first half.

Page, Mascoll and Barnes were substituted for Edwards, Carter and Yamfam.

Archie Edwards joins Bognor Regis on loan.

Whats the thoughts on him? He was chased by all the big boys around 3 years ago.

 

Suggests he hasn’t realised his potential. That is a really poor level of football, and he is 20? Imagine he will be released at the end of the season.

 

I've got no idea what's gone wrong. He did have a serious injury for a while, maybe that's been the cause of his failure to progress. He really was a very, very good prospect at 16/17/18.

 

It's a shame as he showed a lot of loyalty towards the club and you want individuals like that to go on and have a successful career.

 

Yes, I think Man City were after him. I rated him almost as good a prospect as Joe Gomez. His positional play was amazing for a youngster. I remember Bitter & Malicious used to go on about physical development (another sadly missed poster), and Archie had a very slight build, so maybe something happened there.

 

Archie Edwards has not progressed physically or in his play for a couple of years. I think he will be released at the end of the season. Has been captaining the U23s this season.

 

It just makes you wonder, if it's build thats holding him back, he may well come in to his body and turn in to the player we hoped he could be.

Players being released due to size always concerns me.

 

Full Time at Greenwich Borough it finished Charlton 1 Millwall 0. The Charlton goal was scored by Jamie Mascoll on the stroke of half time when he curled in a free kick.

Robinson said that they will be sitting down with Best this week to talk about his future. He also said that Best has done wonderfully well.

 

Konsa out for £5m, Best in for free, par for the course in the world of Rolandomics.

 

From what he was saying is that Konsa leaving is enevitible.

 

Must be why he wants to sign another def-mid.

 

They are after the AFC Wimbledon centre half whose name escapes me.

 

Best's most likely future (based on his recent past) will go like this;
1. Plays four or five decent games
2. Gets injured.
3. Recovers but shows no form anymore.
4. Sidelined.
5. Sold.
