Well done Ademola Lookman for his double in the Europa League. I wonder if BigSam will fancy him any more than he fancied Poyet at Wet Spam? B.S. wasn't in charge of the game tonight.

Unfortunately Alfie has come out and said it was meant as a clearance. Roland will be furious.
Absolutely no way would I have been that honest at his age.

Clearly he's not a Big Sam type of player.

He made a foolish career move there. He was never going to get games, even under Koeman. His agent saw the cheque first and the player’s career second.
Lookman should go to a Championship club on loan now and get 25 starts under his belt.

He was doing okay when Unsworth was there; just the team that wasn't.

It finished Charlton 1 Stoke City 0 at a cold and unfinished Training Ground. The goal was taken well by Reeco Hackett- Fairchild. A long ball was played up the middle and he held the ball up and finished left footed past the Keeper. Charlton were the better side but couldn't finish Stoke off, sound familiar?
Jason Pearce played seventy minutes and never stopped organising the defence. Lewis Page played the whole game and did well.
Stoke didn't look like A Premier League Academy.

Charlton U23s | Maynard-Brewer, Cummings, Bowry, Pearce, Page, Dijksteel (c), Lapslie, Morgan, Doughty, Umerah, Hackett-Fairchild.

Subs | Harvey, Maloney, Anderson, Yamfam, Trialist. #cafc

3 in 3 for KAG at Crawley. Steve Avory did say that he thought there was more to come from him. He could be an asset next season.

He's needed this loan move for the last 48 months. Taking his goals very well, confidence is brewing in him.

It finished Charlton 6 Coventry 1. Goals from Yamfam, Umerah, Morgan 2, Anderson, Maloney.
It was too easy for Charlton as the half time score was 3-1 and Coventry had their Captain and centre half sent off for two bad tackles.
The pass and movement of the Charlton players was exceptional. I was right by the dug out and Euell was constantly telling the players to keep the ball moving forward. It is a pity Robinson wasn't there.
Star of the show was Albie Morgan who hit a blistering right foot shot for his first and another with his left foot.

He is just the sort of player we need in the first team. Great passer, good going forward and a blistering shot with either foot. It is a pity he is not a bit older. Although Robinson would have him playing at left back.

U23S STARTING XI | Beeney, Maloney, Yao, Blumberg, Zemura, Carter, Dijksteel, Morgan, Yamfam, Anderson, Umerah.

SUBS | Harvey, Trialist, Willis, Sarpong-Wiredu. Doughty.

    Beeney
    Yao, Cummings, Blumberg, Doughty,

This is from Alex Willis. I really rate him. A natural goal scorer.

Charlton Athletic can confirm the following players will leave the club following the expiration of their current contracts:

    Jordan Beeney
    Matt Carter
    Arche Edwards
    Brandon Hanlan
    Louis-Michel Yamfam
The club would like to thank those players released and wish them well for the future.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Kashi’s contract has also expired, but the club are continuing discussions with the player about the possibility of extending his stay at The Valley.

    https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5a...nnounce-list-of-released-and-retained-players

Although Johnnie Jackson’s retirement means that his playing career has come to an end, his current contract with the club will continue in a coaching capacity.

Academy graduate Regan Charles-Cook has signed a one-year extension, as have Ryan Blumberg, Jamie Mascoll and Joshua Umerah, while Mikhail Kennedy has signed a short-term six-month deal.

Elsewhere, youngsters Albie Morgan, Ben Dempsey, Alfie Doughty, Luke Carey, Jordan Zemura and Dan Birch have all signed their first professional deals with Charlton as they step up from the U18s to join Jason Euell’s U23 squad for the 2018/19 season.

Euell will also add striker Wilberforce Ocran and centre-back Toby Stevenson to his ranks following successful trials at the back end of the 2017/18 campaign.

Finally, Ben Amos, Jay Dasilva, Stephy Mavididi, Sullay Kaikai and Michal Zyro have all returned to their respective parent clubs following the expiration of their loan deals.

The club would like to extend thanks to all those players for their efforts during the season.

I am surprised that they have extended Josh Umerah's contract. I don't think he will make it. Of the released players, I am not surprised by any of them. I still think that Regan Charles- Cook will make it.

I don't know most of the released players, but I saw quite a lot of Hanlan, and think he will make it as a pro somewhere. Very sad that Edwards hasn't fulfilled his promise.
