I think Djiksteel could turn out to be the best of the lot, given natural progession.

He looks to have the whole package - Roly must be licking his lips at the thought of the transfer fee.

Thoughts on Djiksteel?

He looks a natural footballer. Good technique, strong. Can play defensive midfield, Centre Half and right back. Came from the Nike Academy which seems to churn out a few good players.

I notice that Maynard- Brewer played for the U18s on Saturday. It seems that Beeney is out of favour for the U23s. He will probably go out on loan.

What's happened to Lapslie? I thought he was coming on OK. Being captain of the U-23's doesn't seem to help, I see Edwards is captain now, good luck to him, looked a terrific prospect a couple of years ago.

Lapslie will be on the bench tomorrow at Norwich. I think you will see the following.

Phillips
Djikisteel, Konsa, Sarr, Barnes
Aribo, Jackson
Ahearne- Grant, Clarke, Fosu
Novak
Subs Maynard- Brewer, Lapslie, Hackett- Fairchild, Charles- Cook, and other people I can't think of.

It finished Sheffield Wed 3 Charlton 1

Goal from Matt Carter.

Beat Dirty Leeds today 1-0 with a goal by Terrique Anderson. Leeds had a player sent off in the first half for persistent fouling. Ryan Blumberg impressed me. He is a no nonsense left sided centre half who organises well. Also Taylor Maloney in midfield had plenty of time on the ball. Anderson took his goal well.Leeds played better in the second half but we managed to hold on to our lead. Game was played at Greenwich Borough.

U23s starting XI | Beeney, Barnes, Nwosu, Blumberg, Edwards, Maloney, Mascoll, Lapslie, Anderson, Sarpong-Wiredu, Yamfam

Subs | Osaghe, Dijksteel, Carter, Willis, Doughty. [HASHTAG]#cafc[/HASHTAG]

Barnes back at RB then in his natural position. Has Archie EDwards started to look like his old self yet (ie very good)?

Barnes was pretty poor today. Archie Edwards has stagnated. Was the Captain today, he played OK but I can't understand why he has not gone out on loan.

It finished Crewe Alexandra 1 Charlton Athletic 4 goals from Barnes, own goal and two superb goals from Taylor Maloney. One from a free kick the other a screamer from 30 yards. A strong U23 team there.
