I read that too mate but think he was talking generally about loans, rather than this deal. Guesswork so who knows, and a translator involved so always a chance of nuance missed.

On paper looks a good fit to me. Full back with pace is a big thing for how we want to play. Isnt it nice to think they are recruiting to a plan.

Aye could well be the translation thing, I read it as specifically about him coming to Sunderland but could just be 2 parts to one interview fused by the Echo, who have horrific form for reporting on Sunderland at best of times.

He has indeed and Neil and Onien will play in CM (while Evans is out anyway imo). It would be harsh to drop the Winch. I'm just wondering if this lad is first choice RB or cover at LB and Hume is definitely away. From the video clips of him, he is very right footed and seems to cut inside a lot. Fine for a winger but more difficult to defend on your weaker side. Guess we will see soon enough. Loving the new direction in terms of signings and style of play though.

Someone on twitter called “rejected manager” claims big news coming out of club in the next few days. Any ideas?
