Danns injury is common in young players still growing and I imagine only would have come to light if he had a scan or complained about having pain and then had a scan. If he hadn’t had the scan I’d imagine he’d still have been playing for Liverpool teams.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you mean but by suggesting the club allowed themselves to get into that position would suggest the club weren't trying to sign players earlier in the window to get things wrapped up and not be in that position but things didn't work out. Without being privy to what went on behind the scenes we have no idea how many deals they looked at, who they had genuine interest in and who was papertalk or how far any negotiations went but I bet they weren't happy it went to last minute to sign a injured player as nothing to lose at this point signing.

Which is all I see Danns as, won't have cost club anything unless he got fit. No risk to the club whatsoever.

I agree 100% would be nice not to be in that position in the last few hours of the window but I don't doubt for a second tyre club don't think the same.

Sorry but it does we were just unlucky that something came up in the medical. Nobody had identified anything previously and he had played well for Liverpool when he was on. This would have been a cracking signing.

Tbf mind how many times have we heard this exact excuse for striker signings the last 4 windows haha. Obviously I’m very happy with Isidor and Mayenda. But you want to hope we can get better at tying up a deal for a striker as this is like the third or fourth time we’ve heard “we were trying” then end up with no one or someone who can’t even play

I hope if we go up we get our business done fast and with some intent because we will need some significant investment in higher calibre young talent aswell as PL experience.

Tbf though. We are in a fortunate position to have two good players on that bogey position of ours. But considering RLB said day one of last window we were onto targeting a versatile forward and we didn’t manage to land one all window. I hope to see that stuff rectified

I mean the fact we went ahead knowing about it. I’m sorry but no, it doesn’t make sense.

Cracki g prospect or otherwise, he was injured.

the only risk to the club is that we went into the rest of the season with just two forwards. So far it hasn’t cost us but if Isidor and Mayenda both pick up niggles heading into the playoffs it’s a big ask to expect Trey to be ready.

Nothing they could do about it at that point and I no doubt they were trying to sign people before that.
