City transfer thread

I'd love the outcome of Thursdays meeting to be 5 bids in for players.

Not going to happen but it would definatley change the somber mood around here.

 

5 could happen if you put loans in there as well. Plus we wouldnt get all the players we bid for anyway so I dont see why thats a crazy number.

It would show a big statement of intent though.

Problem is that we are at some point inevtiably going to sign multiple players and I would say that was a fact. So this prlongment just prevents the new players building up fitness, settling in the area and geling with their teamates.

 

What is he 22? Bruce will play him for a few games, drop him after we lose one and then loan him out, citing that he's only 19 and we've got to protect him.

 

I figured you meant that 5 would be discussed that day and bids would come because of it. 5 that day or the day after wont happen but we will be putting bids in or at least making calls for 5 players that are discussed in that meeting.

 

To be fair Butland has had Begovic and Sørensen ahead of him - both decent keepers.

 

I seem to remember that there was some discussion on this bloke Sandro Wagner but I couldn't find the posts. I read today that Bruce had approached his Bundesliga Club with a view to signing this 6 feet 5 inch "Der Esel" (The Donkey) from the "Proschwitz School for Strikers" having amassed a total of 2 goals from 40 appearances.
I know I harp on about strikers (y'know, a forward who regularly puts the ball in the back of the opposition's net - we haven't had one for some time) but in the name of Jesus H F-Bombing Christ please tell me that this isn't true!

35 games from the bench, so if he only got a few minutes in each of them, then 2 in 5 isn't too bad. I suppose!!

There are 183 pages of posts 'DH' and I couldn't go through all of them.
I read earlier today that Bruce appeared to be interested and whereas I couldn't possibly see it myself I asked if there was any truth in the rumour.

 

Following on from mauled1904, he played 272 minutes last season in 15 games. That is just over 18.1 minutes per appearance on average, harsh to judge him on this alone. However even in Bunesliga 2, he was never prolific.

 

What I'm asking is why are we interested in a bloke who can't command a first team place in the starting eleven?
