POINTLESS POST ALERT: This is currently our third highest viewed and third highest replied to thread behind the previous two summer transfer threads, both of which this thread is currently on track to comfortably beat, especially if we actually sign someone. Keep it up guys.
Maybe a sell on clause for Brady, he didn't come on the heap though like most their youngsters, we paid a very fair price for him up front so there's a good chance there won't be.
Now that Bradys gone, or going.. Would anyone else like to see Robertson utilised higher up the pitch in a right winger role? He's not a bad defender but he's much better going forward. Maybe we could look to bring in a new left back (with brady & figgy gone we'll need one anyway). Obviously for this to work we need to change formation..
I would think more likely a left winger role. I've always thought Robertson had more of a Gareth Bale in him than a full back. I'd also preferred Rosenior at right back than Elmo but that's not likely with us now.
What I think is likely to happen is that we sell our best players before the end of the transfer window and then on the last day we'll be scrambling around for any player who can kick a ball.
It all depends on Thursdays meeting Peter. Im trying to be positive and hope the Allams decide to drop the name change and back Bruce 100% with funds, that way we can all start looking forward to the new season and the push for promotion.. What I fear is they spit their dummy out even further and tell Bruce they're cutting back on spending and sell most of our assets off and Bruce ends up walking... Lets wait and see!
Even the first scenario wouldn't be great long term. As long as those two own the club, there'll always be a ticking timebomb which could go off any time. Remember the nonsense really started straight after we got promoted last time. Even if they dropped the name change they'd find other ways to cause harm. What about the Airco? What about the fans? What haopens next time there's an ASI fund?
I agree completely PLT, but there's nothing we can do as supporters to make the Allams leave/sell the club. The best we can hope for, if they are to stay, is their financial support and backing the manager. Thats what I'm hoping for on Thursday as I do not believe they'll sell or leave the club any time soon.
Ha, I looked at this the other day and couldn't work out why some old "I'm a Celebrity" thread with only sixty odd replies was in the top 10. Turns out Jessica Jane or whatever she's called generates A LOT* of random views. *relatively speaking
be interesting to know if, when the sell on clause is triggered due to relegation, whether the player gets his 20% as a non requested transfer or if this is forfeited?
You know, I'm glad I've been predicting we'd finish upper-midtable at the very best this coming season.
We are unbeaten this season!!! We will be fine! I expect it to be quiet on the incoming side until Friday Saturday but i am sure we will be quite active in the transfer market a couple of decent signings and we will be raring to go.......................... hopefully
Well, when your face looks like Freddy Krueger ****ed a topographical map of Utah I suppose you have to be optimistic. (I really hope you got that reference)
Yedlin (who is looking really improved in the gold cup) has said that Spurs have not told him yet if he will be going out on loan or staying with the first team this season. We should be all over that loan if at all possible.
