i think at the moment he fits in with the rest of the crap we have just dandy,i still have faith in him to come good ,is anybody doing ok at the moment ?

The fans do, to an extent, affect the mindset of the players; negativity doesn't help anyones confidence. Then again people who have paid good money to watch premiership football deserve .........top notch footballl and what was served up on Saturday was disgraceful. That was nothing to do with the crowd and everything to do with bad motivation bad team selection and utterly clueless tactics, which is down to the manager, the coaches and the team captain. As was put before, if they cannot take that pressure then step away, go and become a plumber or something and let those that relish the challenge and that can show some spirit have a go..
The fact that Sunderland can still pull in a 46000 crowd for a match between the the 4th & 5th off bottom shows that we have passion and, through the many many years of disappointment and turmoil, the fans have KTF. Saturday was a watershed. It wasn't acceptable, it was embarrassing and I can understand those walking out. Any other team in the premiership, with the turnover of managers, the incredibly poor games and utter sh*te endured by the Sunderland fans, would not have pulled in10,000 in never mind 46,000 FFS.
The modern football grounds are also soulless because, in my view, it is not exactly easy to sing, clap and show some passion when you are sat down or being told to sit down, or when you are stood up but having half an eye on watching that you don't topple over the seats in front of you. Bring back some standing areas
