Just got back. Really bad. Huge attendance but aside from the South Stand towards the end we were shut up pretty quickly by Villa who looked handy.

Sad to see the stadium empty at half time/in the second half but understandable.

Poyet's done. He's a joke.

The comment made by SNQ on TV tonight about the Burnley team having the "will to win" was very rellavent imo. If our lads showed a bit more of this characteristic from the kick off perhaps they would get the home supporters going, but we seem to lack a collective team spirit. We could do with a Sean Dyche type of manager, a no nonsense realist who has one of the fittest squads in the Premiership giving their all, week in week out, could any of our lot honestly say this, I doubt it. Hence the poor home record , it has little to do with the supporters how poorly this team performs, but all to do with the character of the team, and the individuals in it, who fool nobody.
I'm still trying to understand GP's analysis of the game. A manager with some fire would have been firing rockets in the first ten minutes instead of strolling about looking as if he had control. He is joining the managerial ranks of psychobabblists influenced by Mourinho.

I dare bet that the Burnley fans were up for it from the word go too unlike our lot....Our whole club lacks any sort of passion at the moment which is very worrying..

TBH mate, the Burnley support is piss poor and they make very little noise for a newly promoted team.

Home support, these days, is generally shyte .... Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, etc are like walking into a library.

Psychobabbists? - I love it. A new addition to the language from our NZ ex-pat buddy. The thing is I can take it from Mourinho, pretty much like I could take bluntness from Cloughie, because those guys can justify it. Why can't Poyet just shut it? - he can't justify much at all right now.

I caught a snatch of an interview by Mourinho who was spouting on about his team that lost to PSG was the the one that won the Carling Cup, and will win the league. He left out Bradford and no-one asked him about it or that his team could have blown it against PSG because of his tactic of "we have an away goal so we don't need a striker".

It ain't only the players who are overpaid for under performing.

I've not added up the figures but I reckon Mourinho has won more major trophies than Sunderland and Newcastle combined so it's going to take a brave person to suggest he's underperformed.

Not suggesting he has not been successful but since his Porto days there has been a big element of negativity about his tactics at the clubs he has managed, even though he has won trophies for them. His biggest tool for the job was lavish money to build teams set to not lose first and rely on one frontman individual to snatch a wine, as he did with Hazard against PSG.

Taffy, if you are trying to get a bite, maybe try a little harder man. The mood most will be in today, think you'll be hard pressed

The standard of these wums is dreadful isn't it?

Not content with playing in the English league they have in creep onto other boards.

Swansea only sang once, when we were down there, after they scored ....... less than 20,000 of them iirc <doh>

What a surprise you blaming the support again? You never blame the players you ****ing thick ****. I bet you stayed to the end and clap them off. What a mug you are.
